It's probably a piece of shit, but if you need a DVD player for the bedroom, or for the kids, it might be worth a look.

dextrous
I picked up a divx/xvid/DVD player with a HDMI output for £40 in ALDI the other day.It takes memory cards as well.
Guest pokemon sauce
i bought one of them as well, was it made by a company called Lexsor? it said it would play all this fancy shit on the box, stuff i don't really want/need but the thing wouldn't play a DVD. true story, don't buy those pieces of shit. Steve
The one Asda are selling for £9 is the Durabrand DVD-1005.

dextrous
Nah the one from Aldi was a tevion. It's alright so far. It only said xvid on the box but it seems to handle a fair few variations of divX. Plus I like the memory card feature. It means I don't have to burn a disc if I want to watch something on my television. Its got 5.1 out as well - no good to me cos I don't have surround but still it doesn't seem too bad for 40 notes.
