chile
i wanna change the atmosphere of this track from clinical sounding with pretty much no background noise, to more of a bright sound using high frequencies.. thinkin of lasing it with white, pink or brown noise but so far im having little luck making it sound comfortable with the drums.. has anyone tryed this and if so have you got any tips? decisive
you could double the drum track and bitcrush it so there's plenty of noise, then mix that in...
airnino
what about "moddeling" the noise with like envelopes, filters etc? btw, is there a definite white, brown or pink noise (if so post a file )???
Dice
just download some light drones and drone out.
Wax On
why not just record some noise off a record and use that in some way. it'll be gentler and stand out less than synthesizing/ modelling noise
Lorn
Learn about Side-Chaining. I use that a lot to give my shit some interesting dynamics
decisive
Learn about Side-Chaining. I use that a lot to give my shit some interesting dynamics aye you could try sending the bit crushed signal through rather than physically doubling the tracks. another thought- gate some noise through a side chain with a slight high feedback delay, send it through an lfo to give it some variation. suppose you might have to compress it to stop it getting out of control.
