Steve
I listen to a fair few files from Soundclick and in some cases you can't save them as mp3 files. Using Winamp it's possible to save the track straight to your disc as a wav file as it's playing. Here's how: - Start Winamp and press CTRL & P to open the Preferences window. In the Plug-ins section on the left, click on Output. In the right hand pane, select "Nullsoft Disk Writer plug-in v2.0c". It might be very slightly different depending on your version of Winamp. Once you have selected the plug-in, click Configure at the bottom of the screen to open a new window. Where it says "Single-file mode" check the box to enable it, then select the filename, where you want to save it and the format in the two boxes underneath that and hit OK. That's it. All you have to do is play the file and it will be written to your hard drive. The quality is dependent on the bit rate of the stream. It's best to write the file as a wav and then use LameDrop or WinLAME to convert it to mp3.
Clownstyle
I never knew that ... Cheers Steve BTW Which version of winamp do you use?
Steve
The most recent mate - 5.06 Pro. I got it off Suprnova but beware of dodgy keygens! There seem to be more and more wankers spreading viruses via torrents. BTW - I'm sure this is possible with other players such as QCD and Foobar2000. As far as I know they both can use Winamp plug-ins and if not, they probably come with a disk writing plug-in anyway.
