Steve
1 of them is critical. Install them from the Windows Updates website if you don't have automatic updates turned on.
Lorn
I haven't updated once since the installation of my k'ed copy of Windows XP. The machine to runs just fine, but should I actually install updates?
Steve
It's advisable to install the important ones. Some fix issues that could lead to your machine being compromised (if it's connected to the web) and others just fix bugs. Some people say "if it ain't broke don't fix it", but I think in this case there's less chance of it breaking in future if you keep up to date.
