BigTim
Ok here's the deal. I just got the family computer put into my room. What I want to be able to do is play the tunes on my external hard drive (all iTunes compatible and everything) in iTunes, without having them copy over to the computer's internal hard drive. I can't figure it out for the life of me. The only thing that made sense to me to try was installing iTunes onto the ext drive and keep it all contained in there, but it wouldn't let me. It said I had to install it onto the startup disk hard drive or something. Then I tried to move it into the ext HD which worked, but when I opened it and put some songs in to play, it still managed to move them onto the internal hard drive. Suggestions? ripple
There's a setting somewhere in iTunes that lets you select if you want to copy the files in the library to your hd or just keep the actual files on their respective volume. Does that help in any way?
