Ben
Hey, my pc has been buggering up recently and i've been a bit suspicious that it might be my graphics card (GForce 4 Ti 4600) which is like 4 years old now. Even if this isn't the problem i think its about time to upgrade. Can anyone recommend something relatively cheap that would be ideal for games and will last me for a few more years? If it matters, i think my current specs are: AMD 64 motherboard, AMD 3000+, 1024 MB DDR RAM, and i have plenty o' hard drive space left. flowerpot
Heya Ben, An nVidia 6600GT 256 mb card will do fine for medium detail gaming and will be able to play the latest games well enough, while not breaking the bank....An nVidia 6800 GS 256mb card will will be able to pump up the details much better on games like FEAR BF2 etc and is a mid-high range card that will not break the bank either but is pretty much the border between spending alot and spending enough. Both are available in PCI-E and AGP.There is also ATI cards, much of a muchness.Recomended manufacturers:XFX,eVGA-lifetime warranties both companies.
