haha...yeah baby...i finally hooked up w/those groundloop isolators...worked like a charm. Running FS into my mixer and right back out again into the same lappy thru my FX send and return W/out any more squeeky fvnking shit. going thru a shitload of vst's including an overdubbing looper plugin. maddening amounts of pleasure. thanks infinite

FLS and Live are an unstoppable combination. Edit: yeah, and soundforge. those three apps cover all the bases. sample editer: fr collecting samples and mastering mixes. 16 step based drum machine software fr writing loops. Live fr jamming and performance of those loops, which I also kick as my Audio/Midi multitracker for mixing it all down. but yr surely not done w/FLS. that shit is endless. it's the most "all in one app" there is.

the midi clock is such a fvcking awsome idea. now peeps can jam out and build loops together all in sync. couple repeaters , couple of RC 50s, and a couple turntablists. shits gonna be hot when sessioning. has anyone come across any stereo delay/reverb. floor pedal fx units? having a tuff time locating one that isn't setup for rackmounting. looking for portability w/out luggin around an extra rackmount case. now i don't own a repeater or an rc 50 yet, but the rc 50 is looking a bit more efficient for transport since you'd have to purchase an extra foot pedal ontop of the repeater anyway. right now i'm set up to take everything from my car to the jamspot in one trip, and would like to keep it that way since i'm always on the look out for getting robbed. records hanging over my shoulder down by my ass, mixer and cables in my backpack, turntable in my left hand, and lappy [hopefully soon to be rc 50] in my right. i'm uncomfortable w/ppl watching me go back and forth to my ride dragging equipment in and out. always gotta be on the look out to protect my babies. stereo delay/reverb floor pedals anyone?

this is just an issue w/FS v1.5 [the old one], maybe v2. it definitely is not a feedback loop. tis a ground loop. the manual even warns off this. i totally know what all kinds of feed back sound like, wether internal PC feedback or P-cuts/djQuest dj mixer feedback. this aint none of that and you'll be able to tell once you listen to the file i recorded of it. http://s55.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3VHO91B...VV04FQGAUBV7ZHL its broken up into 4 parts 1.with the phono switch on and crossfader open {straight vinyl}. so definitely no going back and forth between FS and analog. 2.with line switch on {Final scratch}. not as loud but it is noticeable if ya listen to it, especially looped. and is even more noticeable when distortion or compression FX are added. it is below -60 db's i believe but can be picked out when the audio mix gets silent or has muted parts. so a real master quality digi sound is unobtainable. 3.same as one again w/ the switch on phono {straight vinyl}. [jus for compare and contrast] 4.back to Final Scratch w/the switch on line and a quick FS ahh cut file. thru this in so you knew i wasn't jus raising the levels or normalized the file by a comparison of volume. the shit really is that loud. although i guess a zeroed beat would of been better for that than an ahh, but i jus realized that now. now...this ground loops looping pt. is the PC/USB cord. it passes from FS on my PC thru USB to the FS hardware, next, to the dj Mixer, from the Mixer to the PC sound card [connected thru a PCMCIA slot] and then the audio goes to the stereo [jus like ya said saint]... but the ground loop is in the PC and starts all over again in the usb and cycles thru over and over. i definitely did not run no audio back into my mixer. this has to do more w/AC/DC, or what ever causes ground loops, and not a straight audio feedback loop. when i do feedback i do it intentionally. now...like i said b4 this is only an issue w/FS v1.5. anyone who has thee old school version should know, but i'm curious if this ground loop when the phono switch is popped, and lower volume ground loop when the line is on and FS is in use happens w/FS 2 or Serato cause i've always been interested in upgrading. damn saint... had me second guessing myself that i did something stupid like dat, cause its been a while since i ran the tests. but now everyone knows for sure i wasn't that stupid.

have you peeps actually done that tho? because i'm still busting out the old FS, and when i used to hook it up like dat i would get ridiculous ground loops. and not no turntable ground unplugged hum,,,,i'm talking bout some squeeky ass high pitched digitally processed shit. more cords i had plugged in the louder that shit was. shit would travel thru the usb>mixer>soundcard>back to usb. i've seen rca ground loop breakers b4 but never tried em yet. all new FS users and serato users please report back. cause i was hoping to run FS right back into ableton or fruity so i can add FX and keep the shit straight digital.

meaning it shows up in midi preferencessometimes and sometimes it doesn't? does that happen while the software is running? i would definetly check the maudio site to see if the driver versions were updated, it is a fairly dated midi controller, and... is it a true plug and play device? might have to have it plugged in b4 you power up. i also remember reason having two midi windows in the preferences. MIDI settings and Advanced Midi settings. try selecting the oxygen 8 in both. yr preset banks in the oxygen 8 might not be the one designed for subtractor so always try "Edit Midi remote mapping" just some shit off the top of my head.
