Fuckin hell Johnny . . A Ranes now over £500!! I bought mine new mid way through 2008 and after a bit of haggling got it for about £400. Has the credit crunch hit Rane hard or something? I know what everyone's saying about the 07. I know a few people who still have them from about 2000 ish and they're solid as fuck and they still use them daily. To really stick my worthless 2 pences in . . I also own a 909 and used to swear on it being the best mixer ever, cuts, sets . everything. However the fader has a very metallic almost "Heavy" feel to it. I think it's what you're used to. People would come and cut on my 909 and say "it's horrible e.t.c" and since switching to Rane I understand what they're saying and now find it hard to cut on the 909. However I think the most important thing to stress here is ITS WHATEVER YOU'RE USED TO., I've seen plenty of good footage of people cutting on a 909 (Rafik, Maroon, Eprom . . )

I wouldn't touch the 08 personally, Alrite mixer, but I know Muzzell's had loads of problems with his (blue sparks shooting out the power pack for one!). Vestax build quality these days ain't worth shit. For less money just buy a rane 56. Got send and return and the nicest mixer to cut on IMO.

Liquid V Recordings, Bungle, Calibre, Hospital Records, Nu Tone, High Contrast, Logistics, Commix, Break, Zero Tolerance, Beta 2 . . the list goes on It's all about Calibre tho . . .

-50 section on Donkey Work 3, the bit with "Rock the funky Beats" is bad for nice on point phrasing. I must say Grasshopper breaks is still my most used, perfect balance of aahs and 4 & 5 syllable sentences for phrasing shit.

Hi Bju. Thanks for your nice comments man but in all fairness we really were a bit sloppy on the night!! You guys were much tighter. When it comes to aftershow battles however we're always on point, you may have to start practising if you want a rematch, ha ha!. Are you guys going to do DMC this year?
