Yeah man that was dope... Comedy value or not the cuts were on point and it was tasteful and musical. My only feedback is that some parts were slightly off and Im sure you could probs pull this off tighter.. Big ups.. hope you win.. and get 2nd place behind me

Yep big up Ritchie, Switch P-Nuts and Jon Furst!! I completely fucked my set up, technical probs at the start not helped by the fact I had a blazing row with the sound guy and Cutmaster Swift in the 2 minutes or whatever I had to set up. I then realised after I'd started that I hadnt checked the Traktor latency was at the lowest so I was checking the settings whilst doing the first part of the routine, this combined with the FUCKING AWFUL sound was enough to throw me off To be fair this was the first time I'd done 6 minutes and my first uk final so 3rd behind 2 people with ALOT of battle experience aint too bad.. Jon's set sounded wicked before he stopped it.. felt bad for him.

Wow Vekked, that is fucking awful man!... That totally devalues the whole comp! I had a fairly healthy suspicion the judges in my final did domething similar, I couldnt even fucking see them. Talking to Yoda afterwards you could tell he felt bad for me and was a bit awkward about the whole judging situation. Am I right in thinking threestyle is big in Canada, is that where it started. Also lets not forget Vajra got absolutely robbed in 2011.. and everyone was having this same rant then as well.

I came 2nd in the UK Redbull Threestyle in 2011. I would agree with what everyone's said so far... corporate/political bullshit battle. It was really badly planned, the venues were Oceana's (a horrible commercial nightclub chain). Without wishing to sound like a dick I did a clean performance, had put a lot of work into my set, and probably should have won. All the other DJ's were like you've clearly smashed it. It wasn't the result that bothered me as much as the judges. One of whom was DJ Yoda who is perfectly well placed to judge this kind of thing (and put me 1st the other two were some random dicks, one being a lady who's a clubbing writer for timeout magazine... what buisness a journalist has judging a DJ battle I don't fucking know... I'm not bitter

If you cant find it then they must have taken it down Bizarre how only one turntablism video has some kind of copywrite dispute, when there must be 100's of videos of people cutting up run dmc on youtube.. Think maybe because of the corporate/endorsement angle as the vid was for Rane?

Vekked, the video your talking about was for serato right? Switch told me at the UK finals that they had to take it down because of some form of copyrite/licensing issue.. Shame, I think that was the best routine I've see him do.

Cool man, as long as you're enjoying doing it, thats the main thing. I think its good to play shows and make mixtapes and generally be versatile. More people might have heard your mixtape than have seen your battle routines? Good to see you're on it. Sending the mix off to them tomorrow, will hopefully be up soon and all will be revealed A lot of work went it to it with multi-tracking, recording cuts etc. PS> liked the Sun Ra saxophone cutting at the end.

As for the question I don't really get what you mean! Nothing is edited out, it's all one take from two angles using two cameras, I just applied a different filter for each of the four notes and changed the camera angle every time the note changes. They are just some random ones from Final Cut Pro, was my first time using the software! Sorry man, I meant what Traktor effects were you using For what its worth tho the video looked nice, you got a nice camera?
