  2. Most EDM DJ's can get away with not doing it because most of their music will lie with in a similar tempo range (e.g DnB 170 - 180Bpm) But with HipHop the tempo can go from 70-120Bpm I think it depends on what your more concerened about, JUST track selection or mixing. Bpm'ing is a good idea to get a general feel of what tempo the track is but i would never rely on it fully It's just one of those skills where the more you mix the more easy you'll find it over time to just naturally know whether something will mix or not
  3. Some peeps on skratchworx are now saying the story is fake
  4. Wicked DVD Watching Jrocc juggle up Apache is soooo dope
  5. I thought it was ok A wicked album if you love doom, but listening to the whole album from start to end gets annoying because of these pointless interludes It's like watching a film but having to watch trailers every 5mins once the film's started
  6. I got the Shortkut - Inna Danchall Style <--- that's quite good Just downloaded 2 Neil Armstrong mixes and Jrocc - Sex Machine mix they're all really good
  7. After reading about Clownstyle's night in the other thread it made me want to make up this one What's everyone's opinions on Yoda??? Me - i think he's aiii, i heard the essential mix he did with greenpeace and totally loved that so i went out to HMV and bought his 1st "cut and paste" mix cd and i totally hated it and regret buying it. It's full of half-assed tracks ("exclusives") and dodgy advert dialogue Got to give him respect though 'cos there aren't many hiphop DJ's in the UK who can fill venues based on being DJ's and not producers so he ain't all bad :bold: I just reckon he spins toooo many dodgy records and gets away with it because that's what people expect from him
  8. ^^^^^^^Yup!!! He did a rewind and played the remix too (if remeber correctly)
  9. I'm guessing it must be something to do with NTL My connection has been hella slow all day
  10. I just installed the new version of SoulSeek and now all the downloads i had in the list aren't downloading There's just a list of around 8 songs, and in the status field it says for all of them "Locally Queued" Is there anything i can do to make the process faster or is this the fault of SoulSeek and the person i'm downloading from?? cheers pz
  11. Yeah I think i heard some of it last night on Galaxy I think i fell asleep though just before Klashnekoff came on and the DJ was playing Bonecrusher lol
  12. Looks like a wicked mod Don't think i'll be buying one anytime soon though
  13. I don't play out very often, but my advice is: -Know the audience your playing for. There's no point bringing all your freshest jiggy hiphop joints if your just going to be playing infront of people just wanting to chill at a bar -Do you know how long your playing for? Obviously if your only warming up for 45minutes, not much point in bringing along 2crates I know it's all just common sense but hope i helped (just a little..)
  14. Cheers for the quick reply Sig, i'm gonna check out Winamp
  15. Was just wondering how everyone organises their MP3's so that they can quickly listen to them without wasting much time Also is iTunes worth downloading for a PC? Cheers pz
  16. I'm buying a new one and was looking at getting a Maxtor 200GB http://www.dabs.com/uk/channels/components...?quicklinx=3HF5 Anyone got any tips when purchasing HD's? Is the one in the link any good? Also i've seen others with a 16MB cache, but this one only has a 8mb cache - what does this difference mean?? Cheers djdelay

  18. Everytime i run adaware this "reg data" file keeps appearing. I'm wary as to whether i should get rid of it or not HKEY_CURRENT_USER:Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Player\Settings\ Lil help?? cheers
  19. I've got Adaware and CrapCleaner installed and my PC seems to be running fine I ran CC and it removed the usual internet explorer history, cookies etc...Then i did a scan on "Issues" after about 30secs it came up with a MASSIVE list. I'm not worried about it but was wondering should i look through each individual entry and decide on whether to fix it or should i just tick them all and let CC fix them? :50_50: Cheers pz
  20. Like Sigma said, not my cup of tea when it comes to track selection but it's put together nicely. It's cool to see that scratching can have a use to other genre's other than hiphop/rap
  21. Cheers for the help Dub + Sigma Yeah i'm sure the correct drivers for the graphics card are installed, it's just a really out of date card
