  1. Yeah type youshareit.com and it takes you to megaupload.com I like more than yousendit, it's faster and you can see how much you've uploaded instead of aimlessly wondering
  2. Well done mate Looks like he won the Liverpool heat http://www.dmcworld.com/technics2005/home.asp
  3. Yes i caught it last night It's definitely a very good insight as to where funk came from and how it evolved
  4. Anyone got the cr*ck for this? (sorry if it's in the wrong section but i thought more people might see it here)
  5. DJ Break has done a whole Britney mixtape.........It looks cheesy but i'm sure Break must have something special up his sleeves as his tapes are usually very wicked djbreak.com
  6. Sounds good Steve I wasn't too keen on the female vocals that come in @ 25secs just a little bit too RnB for me

    hip hop

Totally agree It kind of annoys me when people bang on about what "real hiphop" is and isn't. To me Rap is just one member of the hiphop family, like it or not Rap is big business.....so whether people like it or not it's going to be in the pop charts. It's still hiphop but it's just watered down for the pop audience like 99% of music in the charts Yes there is alot of rap coming out nowadays that is aimed towards a pop market but that doesn't make it any better or worse than alot of UG drivel that is getting pumped out. I listen to what music that I like, there is still quality hiphop being produced you've just got to look for it Also i think we're living in a golden era right now , people are always going to quote the past as being better but you never realize it until it's gone lol
  8. Hard question......... I'd be Craze but do more hiphop or Jazzy Jeff and give Will Smith a smack round the face for just being an all round cunt lol It's difficult to choose though, if could choose it would always be someone on a world level. There are so many great DJ's out there that i've got so mcuh respect for but alot don't go beyond the fame of underground which suxx really when you see guys like Tiesto playing on the Olympics just because he's a "superstar DJ"
  9. Best program for making beats - is your brain!!!! Narrr but seriously it really doesn't matter what you use, nowadays software is sooo sophisticated that there are really no barriers holding you back apart from your own creativity Basically Fruity and Reason are going to be easier to use because they already have synths, samplers and samples contained in the program but programs like Cubase and Pro-Tools are more powerful but are definitely less of a complete studio if you don't have a soft-sampler and synths already The most important thing is to choose one and LEARN IT.......once you've done that dump the stock samples and presets and sample/record original sounds and your good to go
  10. Nice link Cgroove!! @TopherEightyFive - why edit out the link? This is a dececnt resource...... @DareDevil - http://uc.panicnow.net/~lt/Luthatron%20sample%20pack/
  11. Cooool then I'll get some stuff uploaded within the next week (i've got uni exams )
  12. Yo steve i'm definitely up for helping out with this but how's it going to work out? Should we all come up with a 30sec sentence or should we just submit samples and let someonelse put them into a sentence etc..?
  13. It's a very hard 12" to find When i saw Vadim in Leeds me and my mate (who's been after it for some time) asked what's up with it being so rare and he said basically everywhere is sold out of it and even he's after a few copies of it!! lol I luckily found a copy of it on eBay for £4, the seller obviously didn't realise what he was giving away, and yes my version has the instrumental. It's the one with "terrorist" and "it's obvious" on the flip, i think there's a version with accapella & instrumental with "friction" on the flip also My best bet would be to use gemm.com and eBay, good luck mate
  14. Nice setup Lamont, what's the MicroKorg like?
  15. Enjoy........tell me what you think of them http://homepage.ntlworld.com/s.alamdari/My1stbreak.wav http://homepage.ntlworld.com/s.alamdari/NuJungle%20Break.wav
  16. Anything to say? The 707 is the one with the bad paint job and no effects??????? lol Only messing, i've got an SA5 and can vouch for it being a wicked mixer. Haven't tried out a 707 but i don't think i can ask for much more on my SA5 considering it's price BTW the 909 is siiick, blakey was using it at the Leeds DMC heat and he was doing some nasty stuff with it and he barely flexed it
  17. I tried downloading this but the connection kept timing out on me
  18. 2x1210's SA5 Mixer Sony 700 Headphones 2xShure Whitelabels (not in pic) Evolution Midi Keyboard
  19. Why isn't he that famous?? Hmmm hard question as he has been around for some time and put out some very nice mixes..... I dunno, i'm guessing he's alot more famous stateside than he is in Europe. Maybe because he doesn't get around that much?
  20. I sent someone a Neil Armstrong mix but my mate who i sent it to has a mac and listenes to everything using iTunes, which doesn't play wma So he can still play the mix but his version of media player doesn't play seamlessly Cheers for the tips Dee, i'll give foobar a try
  21. Is there anyway i can convert a mix (with loads of individual tracks) from wma to mp3 quickly and pain free? I've got soundforge7 but i don't want to convert every track individually as there's like 54 of them lol Any advice??
