Mine is an absolute mess... The DVD drive is kinda buggered becasue I have a shit Dell lifestyle PC. So I have a 200gig hard drive with a 50gig recovery partition which i use to restore my PC. I got a load of horrid viruses through U torrent and it crippled my PC, but becasue the DVD drive was buggered I couldnt reformat it. In the end I just had to go into the C drive and delete as much stuff it would let me so that when the computer restarted it would automatically go to the recovery stuff in the partition. Since then I run a virtual disk drive and downlo0ad loads of ISOs, which then get trasferered to an external terabyte hard drive along with my films and music. I cant wait to get a new computer so i can ditch this piece of crap haha

I was listening to some old cd's today at work and it totally fired me up to get back on my turntables, so I set them back up (must be for the third time now) but I really want to record some stuff. Problem is my computer cant handle audio at all. so I was wondering if there are any stand alone things that I can record straight from my mixer to MP3 ? The last thing I actually used to record anything was a tape deck. Maybe i might be in the game for something for recording multiple layers, saving them, playing them back then recording a new layer over the top. I havent a clue what thiese fancy boxes can do anymore... whats possible with a 300 quid budget these days (give or take a few quid) ?

I could be quite tempted... im getting bored of the MW and bad company multiplayer games... its just so frustrating when they cam in your spawn area and insta kill you. I found that with halo that never really happened.

Avira just failed me big time.... it let a massive virus through wile i was using bit torrent. i couldnt connect to the internet or restore my computer. I had to literallz delete everzthing on mz hard drive that was possible to delete before it would let me reformat Im going to give panda a go....

I use it as my homepage at home. I have it setup with various bits of info. I have a window for instant messenger, currency exchange, weather and a translator The beastie boys and banksy skins are quite nice, but I normally use the world daylight skin that shows which parts of the world are in darkness at the current time

Im in Basel, CH so the special apps i use alot are the SBB timetable and local.ch (the one for the loacal timetables that uses the GPS)

Iphone 4 + better display + already all my music and apps are sorted - dodgy antenae - no radio HTC + radio + customisable - rejigging my music collection - losing my good apps

Dammit Steve... I hate you! The iPhone 4 is released here at the weekend. and I have been sat on my contract after it expired so I can upgrate as soon as it was released. However, im now having second thoughts ! I still really want the iPhone becasue of a few speicality apps that i dont think that will ever be on the android (like the local tram and bus timetables) Also I have spent ages arranging my music in itunes with all the right artwork etc. Yes, Itunes is a pain, but at least evrything is arranged nicely in 1 place. I dont really mind too much about the antennae issue becasue i rarely use my phone for calls. i would say 80% internet and apps, 15% messages and 5% calls so i am not too bothered about calls being dropped while holding it worng. So a few questions that might just sway me to the dark side... Does it have an inbuilt radio ? (im too lazy to look at the specs ) What is the touch screen button response time ? Since I upgraded my 3G to the new OS I can bash buttons for about 30 seconds before it catches up and then you hit 3 or 4 things that you didnt want to (dangerous while facebook stalking). How does the file transfer work between the computer and phone for music albums? Is it like drag and drop like with digital cameras tjhen the phone arranges the playlists by what it sees in the folders ? Does the screen feel scratch resistant ? I dont like phone cases, and my iphone has survived really well for 1 and a half years of jean pocket scraping without any scratches to the face. Does the internet browser reload the pages automatically once you have moved away from the original page ? (its hard to explain so i will try explain what I mean) I go to an internet page that is updated frequently, click on a link, a new page opens up and starts to load. After I have finished with the new window, i close it down and then it puts me back on the original webpage, but it then automatically starts to reload the page even though it was only loaded a few minutes earlier. really gets on my wick. yeah, the sony ones from the walkmans were utter tanks! you could listen to those in the shower and they wouldnt break! it wasnt untill i sat on the headband and snapped it that I had to replace them. I might try and bodge the cable back together, but im not confident !

Are there any decent headphones out there with a decent build quality ? I need to buy my forth pair of headphones for my ipod in an 18 month period and im sick of it! The first pair lasted about 8 months before the wire gave out and i lost the sound in one ear. The same happened to the second pair in about the same time frame. The third pair the wire has now given out near the connector so it either stops the music playing or transfers it the main speaker. I only got these in february so im really annoyed about this. The only consolation is that it was on the extension part of the cable so i can just replace the extender rather than the whole thing. I could understand if wrapped and unwrapped the cables every time i used it, but I dont do this, they spend either all the time sprawled on my desk or in use.

I think Apple have actually done a vista here.... They have rushed something out to make sure that the people who had upgraded to the 3GS so that when the 18 month contract ran out, they wouldnt look at other phones. Sure, its a great idea, but the nhew software update (for os 4) is terrible ! I upgraded the OS on my 3G and it has practically ruined my phone. yes, it still works but it has reduced the performance way too much. they should never have made the update available to the 3G owners. to load up any application now takes an absolute age! me and a friend compared the speed of loadeing up the camera and taking pictures (me with the 3G and he used his 3GS). he had taken 14 pictures by the time it took me to make 1. Also the Ibooks application which i really thought was a cool idea becasue i have an hour to kill each morning going to work and again coming home. It takes about 25 seconds for me to open the application and open the first page of the book. crazy! My contact is up now and I have the option to get the Iphone 4 next week when its released, but im really not sure if I will get it.. but there is nothing else i really fancy at the moment
