ni battery is excellent, have you seen there is an update to v2 now? you mentioned the problem with too many outs didn't you? not sure but it may be fixed

for sampling, soundforge & cooledit/audition would be all you need for making tracks with samples & instruments i'd recommend cubase - i use it and it can easily do everything you mentioned, it is very good i havent used reason so it may be the same but i can't say one way or the other as for hardware so you can play it live then i have no clue on that score

i thought that if you were behind a router than you show as being from the ip address of your router rather than the actual ip address of your machine i didn't think they hid any part of the address though

a router wouldn't help hide your ip
