The motive behind Elliott public outing alesio is till very fishy to me. I reckon there is much more going on that just a bit copying, wouldnt be surprised if Inno have stakes in djtech and mixars didn't want to sell any equity so Inno publicly bad mouth alesio, gain there customers and make it hard for Mixars to be a threat. It will all come out soon enough. Didn't Elliot do the same thing as Alesio to Edsel by going off and creating the Inno?

I've been reading the comments and it does seem as if there is something else that's not being mentioned.

I have never bought a pro x or Inno and have just cut with the stock faders, I hate how the new generation of scratch dj's need the next new thing in their mixers. It's like a fashion item Also I don't buy mixers based on what fader is in it so this whole beef just doesn't make sense to me. If I had the chance to use both mixers I would make my choice based on quality of build etc, couldn't give a shit if it had an Inno or not tbo.

I see a 05 mk3 bottom plate for £25 on eBay not so long ago so they are about if you look hard enough. The faceplate looks sick though , polished look like the 07isp just with no graphics. I'll post a pic in a bit

At the time I had a pal who did customs paint jobs and could screen print and laser etch so I prepped the mixer ready for painting but ended up going traveling and forgot about it. I lost touch with my mate as he finished uni and went home. He was going to do all white, etched vestax logo and all the decals for £100. Gutted I never sent it to him 😢

Your mats will wear it off after a while, i have used it for 10 + years on all of my decks and never had any issues.

I completely ruined my 05 by stupidly sanding it down to paint it white but never got around to spraying it so now It's started to rust 👎🏻 Wish I got a QFO when they first came out.

Who on here has a collection of mixers? i have vestax pmc mixers, a rane, and a massive Allen and Heath 3 channel beast, I recent came into some cash and was thinking of buying some old classics off of eBay like the old 05,s or a Stanton craze mixer as I like it when it came out but never got one. What mixers would you like to have if you could still get one?

I have used some old mega thick slamming vinyl mats that I got at a rave back in 2001. Lovely and thick but slip really nice. I can't cut or juggle with butter rugs or tablecloths, way too slippy for my overly heavy handedness. I would suggest a good polish tho, that's good oldskool advice right there.

i do both wrist and pinch depending on different factors like brat speed or what combo I am doing. i never really learnt twiddles, I kinda think they are cheesy, especially when guys do nothing but twiddles with the of transformer mixed in, same goes for crabs. I understand there is no right or wrong way to cut but feel you should be able to do twiddles, 2 clicks both ways in order to say you are good at cutting. I know I'm not right but that's my thoughts on this.

Most of the dj's I have watched wouldn't be anything without YouTube or social media. When I was playing out you had to be good, you wouldn't get a gig if you were shit.

90% of these sets are terrible, shit selection, weak juggles and cuts, silly miming. Even the top guys in this comp are pretty cringy to be honest. The way I see it is these are club sets so you should be able to dance to it but the songs played are horrible, find it hard to actually nod my head to half of them. Why are so many of these guys doing the same shit as each other, I watched 3 different sets of dudes doing the same idea with " make it clap " by Sean Paul, or get low by Lil Jon etc.

Vekked is wise, I'm going to try some of that. I'm getting back in to cutting and I have been trying to really slow down but muscle memory just wants to make me cut fast. I really struggle to do things slow, sound really sloppy and my flows are so repetitive. Also noticed I never crab, I ripped my finger nail off one time and it hurt for ages so I just stopped doing them but over time I just forgot them. its amazing how fast your cuts deteriorate if you don't practice.
