  1. Anyone got any mixtapes of his to share?
  2. And if you already have a ProTools set-up with hardware interface, and aren't into DJing at all http://www.serato.com/products/scratchse/
  3. Sounds like he never got any good at scratching, so he decided to whine and bitch on the internet about how scratching sucks anyway.
  4. Well, initially I thought that it would be a massive hassle trying to hook up a mixer to an existing sound system, like in a club for example. But actually it would be as simple as connecting the master out from the 57 to a line input of the club's mixer, and you're good to go.
  5. Dude, I didn't know you did modelling work in Spain. (It DOES look a bit like you )
  6. Bass frequencies don't damage your hearing as much as higher frequencies do anyway, so even your run-of-the-mill £3 jobs from Boots will do a decent job of protecting your hearing. It's to do with the way the high frequency receptors in your ear are positioned. It's the same reason why you start to lose the high frequencies first when your hearing starts to deteriorate.
  7. The main bit from "Clifford's Mustache" is from an old 70's porno movie background song. I've actually seen the clip (can't remember what the movie was called though), and there's no mistaking it.
  8. Yup yup. This bit made me want to learn how to scratch drum properly.

    Digging Tips?

So what do you guys all do with your finds? Are you guys all into beat production, or do you do scratch production? Or is it the thrill of finding shit that might come in handy one day?
  10. Fuck, why would you go and post it for sale on your own website?? He deserves it for being such a dumb ass.
  11. Nah, I never really liked this file. Ryan's reply fucking killed it.

    ipod froze!

iPod is teh sexy, that's why (Gets flame-retardent html code out)
  13. That new DS looks OK, but there's one problem that's going to prevent Nintendo from ever making any super-radical changes to the overall design, and that is the distance between the 2 screens - some games take this distance into acount (eg a pinball game, where the ball travels from one screen to the next). So they will always have to have the screens separated by that exact distance, which means it's not really ever going to change much, unlike the big jump from GBA -> GBA SP -> GBA Micro. And the DS actually has more games out for it right now. Speaking to hardcore gamers, they would probably say that there are more games worth playing on the DS than the PSP as well. I'll probably get the DS Lite when it comes out - been wanting to try a few DS games. My PSP has been gathering dust, although I've yet to buy GTA:LCS yet.
  14. Shoulda got a PS2. I've just rediscovered mine, and in the past month have completed ICO and God Of War. I'm deciding whether I want to finsih GTA:SA or start something else, like MGS3, Resi4 or DMC3. The PSP is a novelty, tbh. As much as I was hyping it up when I first got it, there's not been that many games on it that I want to play. Except GTA:LCS and maybe SF Alpha 3. That being said, I did really enjoy Ridge Racers and Virtua Tennis when I first got them, and lost many hours to both those games. I'm probably going to wait a year or so for any of the next gen consoles. It's going to take at least that long before any of them get any decent games, and I've still got loads of old games to get through on my PS2 and XBox. But then again, I'm a real sucker for launch day hype... I nearly bought an X360 on the weekend it launched, but Game were only going to sell it to me if I bought it as part of a £500 odd bundle.
  15. What I find somewhat amusing is DJs that are used to regular style, using a battlestyle set-up. You get them standing sideways, standing on the side of the table, tilting their head to the side, etc.
  16. It's so weird seeing a ski field that doesn't seem like it's way up high in the mountains. In New Zealand, you literally have to climb all the way up mountains to get some decent snow. The views are spectacular, but the journey up can be a hassle. That field looks like it's a 20 minute drive from your house.
  17. Whatever happened to making 2 x 30min / 2 x 45 min mixes... Side A & Side B never die!!!!!
  18. Haha, that's dope! ^^ Should have got them to record your answer-phone message too.
  19. I wonder if you can psycho-analyze people based on the number and arrangement of their icons on their desktops.
  20. I wonder why WinXP just doesn't have a built-in password protect funtcion on folders. Can't be that hard to do. Anyways, cheers for this app, it's deffo something I needed.
  21. It's quite old too, came out about the same time as Serato Scratch Studio (the ProTools plug-in). So it's probably been through a few development cycles now.
  22. Apparently it doesn't mean much. There are hackers working on it right now though, but so far all they've manaed to come up with is replacing on of the high-def wmv files on the disc with one of their own, effectively making the X360 a HD media player, without having to install WinXP Media Center Edition.

    Laptop for 600 quid

How can you tell how many cycles a laptop battery has done? Is there an app, or is it a function built in to Windows?
