  1. Tried to make some generic 'lo-fi' for a music library. Y'know, found nature sounds, wobbly piano etc. They didn't take it, so here it is. Hope some of you's enjoy
  2. Have a good'un Jon. You guys are smashing it. On a side note, that pic of yourself would fit in a treat on https://depresseddjs.tumblr.com
  3. Mega old bump. Me and some mates are totally fucking hooked on this. Majorly frustrating and so difficult but damn, so more-ish. And can feel a slow progress in skill. Anyone on here still play it?
  4. Big love to you Dan. And Ill def chip in a few bob, this is the only forum I look at these days!
  5. Yeah testing of the new beta is happening now. Welcome to the Serato Sample 1.2 beta!
It's been a while since the last Serato Sample update and although you may have noticed weve been busy with Serato Studio we are still keen to improve Serato Sample and include features that have been requested by the great producer community we have.

Serato Sample now has 32 pads, doubling the amount of samples you can find instantly using the Find Samples feature and increasing your chances of finding a hit. Theres also now an option to respect host velocity letting you play expressively with your MIDI keyboard or drum controller.

There's also a good handful of bug fixes, optimisations and continuing support for MacOS Catalina. We will continue to monitor all feature requests and try to get back to your questions as fast as possible. Please let us know if you have any issues.
  6. Ended up buying this some months back. Whilst it does have its limitations its a lot of fun to use and pretty intuitive. Time stretch and pitch change sound really good, better than Ableton Live on the whole though obviously not as versatile as Lives warping. Id def recommend trialing it if you want to try a change up in workflow. AND... theyre actually updating it, theres a new beta out with 32 sample slots and velocity. Not a massive update but at least they havent dropped it altogether.
  7. I think the screen turned out to be a bit shit, and from watching some vids this new model got better faders and some new features the 72 doesnt have. Im still on a 61 which I dont even think is supported on OSX anymore
  8. Yeah definitely. Nothing like time passing and getting old(er) to give you perspective on your behaviour. He gave me a flyer once in Mr Bongos or one of those shops back in the early 00s and seemed like a cocky fella then. Im not surprised though, fame, even in a relatively small scene must fuck with your head, and add booze and whatever else into the mix and bingo. The geek in me would love to see a bigger perverts crew reunion show though.
  9. Great interview. Respect to Tony for reflecting and being open about shit. Remember when the big crew split but had no idea there's still beef. Favourite pervert? Mine's Mr Thing...
  10. Entry for street corner musics flip battle 5. Hope some of you enjoy... if anyones looking
  11. Bit of both. Mainly maschine as a plug-in in Ableton or sometimes start in maschine standalone and move in to Ableton. Just interested in Serato sample as a different way of working maybe. And the pitch and time stretch is supposed to be the best going.
  12. I already use Ableton and Maschine but heard good things about it. Worth it? https://www.pluginboutique.com/products/4113?utm_campaign=%28L%29+PB-Email-Friday-Newsletter-04-10-2019&utm_source=emailCampaign&utm_content=&utm_medium=email&eid=AY9124941082818457132413796313120
  13. Thanks man! Its distant lover by Marvin Gaye.
  14. Yeah, it just looks really wide to me, even when folded in two. Like you'd knacker your hand after a while holding it to make a phone call. But who makes phone calls anyway these days huh
  15. Latest beat. Constructive feedback good or bad appreciated 👊
  16. How'd it go down then laaaaaads?
  17. Ive got my second 7 out on Just Good Beats. Good feels! Both tracks originated from Beat Battles here on DV so big ups to all of you, especially Rock Well for the sample material and mentioning me to Kutclass 👊 A. DELFO AA. FOURTH STREAM You can cop the physical or digi at https://justgoodbeats.bandcamp.com/album/looms-delfo-fourth-stream
  18. Really nice man, got a great groove and sound to it.
  19. Yo thanks for listening and the feedback man! Is Esham the old school guy from Detroit? Thanks for mentioning maybe more bass in the first half. Its so hard to get the balance right! I think maybe the first half is too treble-y which might be part of the problem. Its one of those things where the bass sounded good on the monitors then hearing it on laptop speaks and headphones etc it gets lost. All learnings
