That was my plan too. I've got this vid, but my DVD player won't record it cos it's protected with Macrovision.

Hey Steve, you touched a very sensitive string. I have lots of protected DMC videos I can't convert to dvd. Aren't there ways to bypass the bloody macrovision thing?

I have em both, and I like the Vestax better. Rane doesn't have the NO-POP instant cut in, unlike the 08. In case anyone cares transform switches are totally popless as well. Sound quality is great and features could beat the Rane any day.

It's just a matter of personal preference though...

Hi, I wonder if anyone with more knowledge than me on electronics could help:

Let's say that you have a normal fader, like an Alps or a PCV, for example. These faders are usually 50 KOhm. Now, if you wanted to change the resistance to 100KOhm by adding resistors (in line, R=R1+R2+R3+...), where should they be connected in the fader (6 pins, or 'legs'), in order for the total resistance to change?
