Try contacting sennheiser directly, if they won't supply you with one then they should at least be able to point you to the us distributer....I need ear pads and a new cable myself but I'm proper skint at the moment.

The earmuff on my HD-25's fell off.
I've been looking for replacements; all I've ever found were UK suppliers.
Are there any stores in the States that stock replacement muffs? I'd like to get it fixed as soon as possible.

I'm recording a mixtape at the moment, and have had to put the master output into my laptop, with the volume stupidly low on both the gains and the mater output in order for the music not to distort...
I have tried the aux out instead, but same problem occurs...
Anyhow, its been fine up until now. I can hear bleeding coming from the speakers if I turn my amp up. If i turn the output on the mixer up as well, and even lower the volume of the amp, I can still hear music - even when both volume faders are down! fucking annoying when I'm doing back-cueing!
Is my rane fucked? do i need to sort the sensors out? or am i doing something wrong with regards to plugging stuff in and out of the mixer?
I think your sensors are out of place, srsly.
Don't think it's ever happened to me, and I've been through a lotta 56's. :/

Prize was that you get to dj at the Grandemassife festival.
They said it should be 20-30 minutes in length and live... I don't think my mix is special because I couldn't decide what tracks I should play in this short amount of time but somehow I got lucky haha

You got that 08 yet? Is it any good? Let me know bruva...have to decide on which mixer to buy pretty soon...haha...and I've got to say, I'm still not any further than what I was two weeks ago...

I actually had a go on a couple of 08's a few weeks back.
The faders are smooth, and out of the three 08's I toyed with - the faders all felt different. Some were tighter than the others. The knobs were nice as well, they moved easily - and had a nice grip to it.
The metal little kubby (EQ/ Iso) switches are surprisingly snappy. They feel more like plastic, and have little resistance, but no vertical/ lateral movement at all. I enjoy that feeling!
Those were all unpowered mind you (GC is kinda ghey, asked for help, got none) - I wouldn't hesitate to purchase an 08 though if I needed a mixer.

I just got out of the thred about the stanton sa-5, but what about Rane? Do they make better mixers than Vestax? If so, what are the best ones to get for scratching?
I am a vynle user so give me the down low.
Rane mixers are terrible.
Build quality is crap, sound quality - the same, and the faders are dodgy at best. </sarcasm>
For reals - they are coo. There are many alternatives to using a Empath/ TTM 56/ 57SL today - you should try before you buy!

Using Bome's MIDI translator - isn't it possible to record a set of key sequences/ commands which would save the user time?
Instead of having to tap the BPM button 100 times - record the key sequences/ commands or what have you.

Well, if you have a TF, couldn't you use use Bome's Midi Translator and record the click sequence?

Copied from DJForums: -For those of you who are using 1.7 already, there's a hidden feature. Auto looping is in. You can set a loop of 1, 2, 4, 8 or 16 beats. Here's how:
When you open up serato, before loading a song onto the deck, click the bpm tap button 100 times. As you go you'll start to get little messages at the bottom of the screen. Finally it'll tell you congratulations.
Now, hold down Alt and use the number keys to set desired length loops. 1-5 for the left deck, 6-0 for the right deck. Experiment...it's pretty dope. If you wanna make that effect where you get into loops smaller than 1 beat, just once you get down to 1 beat, hit the "out" button so that it allows you to reset the out point, and use the left arrow key to make your loop smaller. You can then bring your loop down to a stutter, then hit the loop button to turn the loop off and let the song play again. This can create some really cool effects.
Also, you can use alt+t and alt+g to start a loop that starts at 2 beats, then keep cutting itself in half automatically.
For any of this to work your tracks must be BPMd.
Mess around with it...it's pretty dope.
Apparently you can also tap the BPM tapper once and hold the space bar down to unlock it. From what I've read, this feature will be properly implemented in version 1.8. I don't own Serato (yet!) so I haven't tested this, but I'm assured that it works.

What is wrong with the PDX? It's reliable, enit? I owned a pair of PDX-2000MKII Pros, and they worked great.
I'm beginning to question my PDX.
Mine makes noises at night.
Sounds like the innards are expanding or some shit - like wood.
As for the TT500 - the platter feels good. It's solid, I like that. The buttons and such feel flimsy - then again, those decks must have been touched by many...

so i was scratching today and my fader starts acting up.
when im scratching it sorta gets stuck halfway sometimes, so if im doing 2clicks its like; 2click, 2click, 2click and 2cl.. nope no click and i get pissed and my flow is ruined.. ill probably get a new one from the warranty but still, eternal? naww, this exact thing already happened to me once so hell nawwwww
I think I'll be purchasing a HAK 380 soon...

On the RC-20XL, input can be stereo or mono, but whatever you're looping (output) will come out as mono.
Also, for the RC-20XL to sample/ loop properly - you're going to have to use 1/4 Y-cables (from the looper to the 56) so you can engage Flex FX. If you don't do it through the effects section of your mixer, the levels will probably be too soft...
You could also try connecting your looper to the 'Aux out' on your 56 - it's been a while, so I couldn't tell you what happened when I ran something through it.
