    Thank you Shimmer! I've had to retrain going at a slower tempo today (75 to 89ish) due to overtraining in uptempo speeds the past week. I try to maintain a delicate balance between uptempo and downtempo because with that control it is possible to do progressive gradation in your cuts allowing better scratch expression :(( I hope that makes sense :blink:

    Yeah, I get ya. Good way of thinking. I could do with thinking like that. I rush too much and I’m very impatient. Bless

    lols, cheers mans, I felt like I was having a really good practice that night but when I listened back it was mostly trash so I just trun this together.

     

    Fuckin love that looper. Beat 5 by G-Nius, Skratches Radio Looper Vol. 1. Some quality beats on there.

     

    Did this one Paddy's Night. A bit manic and all over the place. Just letting off steam. Footage is a drunken walk around my deserted town on Paddy's night. War Flex beat.

    I think it says more about Japan's consumer culture than anything. Very brand loyal and nationalistic. Aesthetics held very high and superior even to function. It is an important market tho. But a very difficult one to access. They have that economic isolationism tradition that is hard to break through. I bet even brands like LG and Samsung have a competitive disadvantage in Japan to Panasonic, Sony, Hitachi, Toshiba, etc.

    I purchased the Mixars Cut a couple months ago. Really good mixer if you don't use software. Nearly as soon as I got it though one of my 1200's went haywire so I'm down to one turntable, bleedin shite cracked. Have to use YouTube on me iPad if want a mixing sesh.

    But yeah dope mixer. The fader is defo not scratch-ready, had to stuff 2 cigarette filters selotaped together into it.

     

    Bought an SP 404A also the other week. Having major fun jamming on it but I think the cuntin thing blew up my hi-fi, had to knick me ma's then.

    Yah, start closed. 1 sound forward, 2 sounds in reverse. Add transformers for variation. Cool video, I ain't seen before.

    I neglect the reverse/mirrored OG flare too much. It's harder for hamster scratchers.

    I always thought that a pinch was when you start closed, go normal to slowish forward and kinda whip back then close fader. What he's calling a pinch I'd call a forward, backwards or a just a single transformer.
