  1. I've completely made up my mind on getting the Pioneer 450 cause it means I could get rid of Traktor, theres no issue with the faders, and has a soundcard for DVS built in Seems like a great mixer
  2. I'm looking to get a new mixer, I'm using a DJM 400 just now but I want something with filters for when I'm recording a mix I am used to Pioneer mixers and may just upgrade to a DJM 450 but The Xone 23 caught my eye. I've had a go on one before and the scratching felt really off with it. I'm not sure if it was just the curve setting which was wrong but it didnt feel right and a few people have said the same. Anyone tried scratching on a Xone mixer?
  3. Cheers for the replies guys! DJ Godfather is definitely another one who does this but cant see him actually doing the "isolating" with the upfaders on that video. And cant see it on the other video either? I'm wondering if this is it here... 1 minute 20 seconds here he uses the upfaders to cut it up a bit whilst he's scratching in the sound with the crossfader, and also at 2 mins 30
  4. I hear it all the time in mixes. I can copy it but theres one part I'm not sure about I can scratch in a snare or a word just before the other one, like you can hear, and also just flick the crossfader between both channels so it says the word or has the snare repeatedly again and again But then sometimes you can hear the sound being being isolated and wondering how that is done. Do they then bring the upfaders into it? You can hear examples in the clip In the clips you can hear him scratching it in to double up the sound he wants, or then just flicking to repeat it. But its the isolating and cutting out the rest that I dont get?? Do you know what's going on there? Any help would be appreciated https://clyp.it/kn40tqos
  5. Or maybe its a swing flare? I have no idea.
  6. https://youtu.be/YFoiTucvN5c?t=40s At 40s when he starts scratching. What's the scratch after the two chirps and a forward? He does it twice Is it a forward and back transform with 4 clicks ? Or the other one it could be is a one click flare? i tried the one where its 4 clicks, and to do it twice you do 8 clicks. At that speed i find that really hard to do. Anyone shed some light?
  7. Hope this is the right place to post this. Samples i'd quite like are "Yeah" "aw yeah" "Go" "rock feelin" (from al nayfish) and "why has it got to be so damn tough" Anyone got recommendations to buy from discogs?
  8. New here, learning to scratch so hopefully find this useful
