  1. Well, Im certainly sorry for any problems you had with the 4d. Drew and I, and the talented folks at IVL, all put every ounce of energy and time we had into making it as good as we could. I wanted to see it become a dvs device. I was also willing to be an official phone customer service, any time day or night, which I was already doing unofficially, but innovative ideas were too much for some people there.
  2. "Stanton points the future with their crappy attempts" Easy cowboy..... I spent a lot of sleepless nights working on those crappy attempts.
  3. the "Stan-Touch" from the sc3 series would have been, and would still be much more attractive if they had just given the users the firmware with the darouter included. drew gave me some weird explanation of how the deal with florian kept them from releasing the new firmware, but it sounded like bs. I've still got an old video on youtube, where I'm using the scs3 with an ipad (you can do that with the alternate firmware. here it is, that's me in the video. i have no idea who the bullshitter that reposted and is pretending to be the guy in the video is. I begged those goobers at Stanton to hand the reins to me, if they had, Stanton would still be relevant
  4. yea, i've been modding electric project boxes forever, wanted to do a nice 3d one, for once cost was going to be $260, all totaled. so i just decided to change approaches and attach the two phones to the epsilon innomix, and have that be my mobile scratch solution.
  5. yep, one phone plays the beat, the other is the scratch deck
  6. it's 5v dc just get a 5.5 mm to usb cable, and a powerbank and ya got a battery powered mixer thanks for the info!
  7. Owning MANY DJ Tech products over the last 10 years, I can say that those dif mixers are not indicative of the brand quality. I bought one, it was junk, and I returned it. Everything else has been great. The djm 303 has a nice fader, and I've been scratching like mad on it for 4 years(cleaned twice) and its as sharp as the day i got it. Dont judge the brand by that one line.
  8. says he needs 4, ideally 5 channels, that's why the interface isn't enough looking at the NOVIK NEO MIXER NVK 802FX 8 Channel Ultra-Slim 5 channels with pre-amplifiers of Mic and Phantom Power (+48v) 3 channels Stereo, but maybe it's junk??
  9. Ok, so I been hauling the denon 5500 and the handykutz around in the car, scratching during the day and stuff, whenever I had a few minutes, but it wasn't really portable. so...., I tried this.... https://ibb.co/d7NGun I did it, thinking it would be dumb, but it's kinda nice, so now I want a custom enclosure. anyone know a good (and hopefully inexpensive) 3d printing place? for the deck, I use babyscratch. i tried cross, edjing, djay, and edjing scratch...they all stink for this, but babyscratch is very accurate and works well. https://ibb.co/hcBXZn
  10. Well, since I have 3 of these jokers sitting around, I was very interested in this. They rarely work, no matter how many times you open them up and straighten that cable, the cds never read, anyways. I wonder if it might be better to try and hack and denon dn-s5000, it would be lighter and more portable, and might have more room inside to cram in mixer parts.
  11. http://arts4all.org/events/csma-electronic-music-festival My gf's (fiance really, but that word is weird) sister and bro-in-law teach at this school, and are super cool talented musicians. Tickets are free.
  12. I emailed the place I got my handykutz, to see if they had any left. They said they are sold out, next shipment arriving end of april.
  13. He has that exact interface well then i might be missing something but it does have jack inputs so i'd guess you can stick a guitar or bass straight in to it and record into ableton..... I'm going to check and see what he's specifically trying to do.
  14. Thankyou Ill pass on the suggestion and ser what he thinks (The whole family is music teachers and they all think Im a silly hillbilly, i was shocked when my advice was asked)
  15. My gf's son had a small behringer mixer that he used for recording guitar and bass, into ableton, i guess. said it quit working. want to get him a new one, he asked for something with balanced inputs. anyone know a good one that won't cost a lot?
  16. If only i could figure this out, I'd be one step close to my dream of the scratch-cliner; one of those chairs with the lever you pull and the foot thing pops out, except mine would have a mixer built into the right arm rest and a 5 inch dd platter built into the left, and the tv audio would be live buffer sampled on the platter.
  17. it'll run the denon hs5500 for about 4 hours
  18. is that mixer batt powered?? Not at the moment but it could be a great addition. Vestax PSU is rare af and my skills arent so good. Anyways it was just a metal working cutting fader space and very little soldering to keep things in place This is the battery i have https://m.banggood.com/110V220V-42000mA-Portable-Power-Bank-Generic-ACDC-Solar-USB-Socket-Energy-Storage-Power-Supply-p-1201252.html?rmmds=search
  19. Is there an iphone video app thatll take a timecode? Trying to find a way to mix watching movies and scratching in real or near real time. I guess you could route the vid audio out and around, back into a sample slot.
  20. the height of the handykutz is nice, and it weighs enough to not slide around yea, if only Vestax had known, and stayed around to make battery powered 06s
  21. do you mean an interface? if so, no it doesn't have oneI was kidding. Just forum meme which emerges once a week... https://instagram.com/p/BWaaDKQFVAj i figured is that mixer batt powered??
  22. https://www.recordcase.de/en/dj-tech-handy-kutz Thanks for the link, but it says release date 30th April, wtf? you can try emailing these reps and ask andreas.renner@gsm-multimedia.de r.kuehlbaack@gsm-multimedia.de
