Old/Noob set-up advice needed
Flexinoodle replied to mrblast's topic in EQUIPMENT & AUDIO PRODUCTION
Mobile (Including hardware, less than the cost of Ableton Live) Hardware - iPad (2nd hand, up until the latest pro, they are solid devices) DAW - Beatmaker 3 Sample editor - Beatmaker 3 Drum Controller - Beatmaker 3 if you don't mind touch, MPD218 DVS - DJPP Desktop DAW - If you used Acid then Reaper, it copied Acid and Vegas, then went extreme power. Sample editor - Wavosaur (Free) Drum Controller - Take your pick, they are all pretty much the same other than MPC Touch and Maschine which come with software. DVS - Again take your pick, Serato is favoured by HipHop guys, Traktor more for EDM and VDJ is actually the best out of all of them, but not so popular. Deck and mixer, buy second hand off EBay, usual suspects, Vestax PDX/Technics 1200, AH Xone 02/Rane 56/ Ecler Hak I have desktops and surfaces and MBPs, most of my music is made on an iPad Air2 now haha, always with me, its perfect. -

The only place to find out what anything is worth is Ebay, some people don't like that fact, but it is a fact, any other price you may guess at or use dicoggs is basically going to be a waiting game for the one person in every billion who doesnt go on ebay to check prices. Nothing is worth fuck all basically, and its getting worth even less haha, but i might buy that sp808 output interface you have if you still have it cheap lol.

Rumoured E-MU SP-1200 Clone From Behringer?
Flexinoodle replied to danswift's topic in EQUIPMENT & AUDIO PRODUCTION
I doubt that, Isla are British, Brexit should not affect it at all, that being said, I doubt very much it will even make it to market, and if it does it will be a clusterfuck of fuck, much like their Chordbot, and the geezer running the company is a tossbag too. -

Flexinoodle replied to danswift's topic in EQUIPMENT & AUDIO PRODUCTION
Rossum has no interest in remaking it, its a loveless task, you can do it and charge £1.5k and sell virtually non at all for very minimal profit, not something any small to medium developer would undertake. So you can bet that whoever these guys posting terrible videos are, they are desperate to charge way way more and shitting bricks because Low Hiss version already sounds better, is much further along and will be open source, so has the chance of becoming a cottage industry ala the PT01. -

Wait, you don't know about Hipsters and Vinyl ? I live in a shit hole that has no Vinyl shops, the town across the way is Hipster paradise, they have a Vinyl shop that stocks represses of shite, and it all costs £45+ for a single vinyl, I'm not kidding, those little bitch monkeys bu all those garbage turntables, sit them next to their garbage vinyl collection, then sit in the corner wanking like a chimp.

Flexinoodle replied to danswift's topic in EQUIPMENT & AUDIO PRODUCTION
Its Rossum industries right, the guy who made the original, but its s prototype he made a long time ago and has no interest bringing to market, that was the last i read from him. -
Had to happen at some point, decks dont generate enough sales or they wouldnt all be based on one design, I suspect tgis just means they wont take any new licensers for the SOEM, but then I doubt that there would ever be any new anyway, anybody likely to licence it already does. DJ turntables are on their last legs anyway unfortunately.

Thud Rumble presents: The Invader
Flexinoodle replied to Steve's topic in EQUIPMENT & AUDIO PRODUCTION
Its hilarious because this prototype was built by Jesse Dean, who was showing a controller that is basically this, plugs in to a PT01 and iPad (DJPP tpuch screen heaven, best DVS i own, as good if not better than Traktor and Serato for me) andits being released March for like £130 lol Thud have the Intel sponsorship, if this was jesse Dean alone, it could be on the market in a couple months, for low low cost, just add iPad. -

How long will B&O Cartridges last?
Flexinoodle replied to djdiggla's topic in EQUIPMENT & AUDIO PRODUCTION
If it is balanced well, wear is extremely minimal on a stylus, these audiophile decks tend to be super well balanced if set up right.
