So you are going to run Maschine standalone software, then sync it with a DAW (Acid ? ) and set up the DAW touse the elite audio interface, and Run Serato too using the elite too. 1 I would be surprised if the Elite has multi client audio, because ASIO doesn't support that. 2 you are going to need some heavy duty laptop to run all that in sync.

Maschine has a low latency ASIO driver, you really want to be using that and Maschines built in audio instead of your laptops audio interface. Just go to you audio settings in control panel on windows, set Maschine as the default output for audio too, that will be your youtube and all that garbage. Serato no, its not gonna happen, serato will only use a serato compatible interface, but you can run two interfaces at the same time, one for serato (elite) one for Acid/Maschine (Maschine) just run an audio out cable from the elite to the line in of Maschine. You are gonna need a fast laptop though to run multiple prograns like that.

I think Catalyst Cintroller is more likely to be the usable one going forward.

Yeah so so, any goo develiper is jow just building their own explorer, look at Beatmaker for instance. Ampify just dream of being NI and shipping content and only updating their apps when it will make shipping more content viable, problem is that they are just a little too "Real software" for the spent a quid at lunchtime millions of iphone users, and a little too "This is a toy" give us file management musicians. I have long said they should dumb down their software and stop pretending every six months to be for musicians.

But they dont work right ? Everybody who is not being paid to say how great they are is saying they are actually pretty poor, really need widespread users to have them to get some real facts.

Terrible file management, Ampify regularly visit the AB forum to ask what they should work on, ignore everybody, disappear, then reappear when they have a new app to release and expect not to get shit, it is really strange to the point that they started saying they are not the developers, then when somebody pointed out that they shouldbe answering for the developers, the guy did a whole page post on his development credentials and turns out he has developed all Novations software over the years, then he ignored the requests for file management, and disappeared hahaha, its a never ending cycle. But yeah if you can live with incredibly crap file management, then the actualy editing in blocs is pretty damn good, no MIDI support though really. However Launchpad is gonna be replaced by a completely modular clip launch system based on Atom | Piano Roll (just released) that is designed to rival Live.

Been giving Ableton another workout from you saying this, I can't believe how they never change, they nail the shit out of some stuff, and other stuff is so archaic it burns you to the ground! How exactly have they gotten to a v10 and have no keyboard shortcut editor ? How have they released the best specific hardware controller around (Borrowed it for a few days) that has next to no control over the arranger ? I could easily live with the rest of their archaic shite when you balance it up against the pros of how good most of it is, but those two really burnt my ass.

Whats the point, game controllers dont work with IOS, Apple breaks them all with various releases, I went through so many trying to find one that worked, an Nvidia Shield ended up being the better option as a tablet, and unless you make music on it, an iPhone is a terrible generalist phone, I have latest iphone (for beta testing) and a £64 Maze Alpha for my actual phone, Maze Alpha pisses all over it in general usage.
