  1. I have enjoyed dealing with some weird fx (and bends) like monotrons, harmonizers and vocal fx units. These things brings lots of fun to producing/tablism for sure. Pete I bend monotrons and cdx nothing expensive like eventides lol Ps: there is a "like all" or "like this topic" button hide somewhere? :V
  2. I was talking about this: https://instagram.com/p/BKvlRA6D58q The drive itself works time to time but doesn't "read" and it could be due the lens or (it seems) some kind of data corruption for the bad connection on flat cable.
  3. Mine is collecting dust and I purchased for 50 with driver board broken. I changed it for another one (the cdx from the video) and come alive again. Cd drive no luck. At service notes talk about changing some resistences to improve motor driver burn and about how to dare with data cable error too. I have also the pinout for solder cable directly avoiding flat one (and even the part solded by Norbert from the old cdx too) Anyways if I can bring it to life it will worth the effort but if not, raspi and new ideas are calling me. My luck is I'm starting a makerspace in my area with some friends and I have new tools (like digital oscilloscopes) to work on my projects. I hope my friends also help me with raspi mesh and start tinkering on all this idea sometime. All the resources collected over years (including hdx firmware?) https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4ftWaZ6ARSUVEF5R3dseFY4Tmc
  4. Not sure about understood a shit Flexi... XD Anyways clock and grooveboxing could be add it to a hacked cdx. Midi clock is in it and midi in ala c-one (more or less) too.
  5. I could try to open mine with a friend and check anything you need too. Just waiting instructions...
  6. It seems like bad encoding export (dither?) giving these wonderful mouthcracking crispy sound of hell! XD Anyways keep posting material Darcyd, I fjind your setup very interesting.
  7. These moment when you wait to check Darcyd using the bass footpedal with pdx3000... Satisfied, thanks!
  8. http://skrat.ch/ Also scratchML project did some improvements/contributions in this side... http://fffff.at/scratch-markup-language-sml/ Also a actual software that could be useful due it has full automation (record and replay) If someone wants to talk about this in 2016 I will enjoy the chat...
  9. If we go further in the raspi path I have some collected resources to make it an step by step process but... I tried to mess with my raspi 2 and I get stuck installing the distro :V
  10. As I'm Barcelona based and Ecler was a French/spanish brand... Ecler are usual in second hand market here. From 320 to 380. Nuo X.0 series are also common and well priced.
  11. Hi Guys, Serato has new beta with Ableton link. The Bridge come back...
  12. And total deception... But chance to do our own groovebox turntable! XD
  13. Holy crap... http://tfr.roland.com/eu/products/product-20 http://tfr.roland.com/eu/products/product-19
  14. They still have to present almost two more dj focused products. Let's wait and see but this Controller is nothing so-so to hype djs so much IMHO... Edit with more info. http://tfr.roland.com/eu/timetable/t201609100200
  15. Well I believe that a hybrid solution will be better. Digital encoder (cdx)'for scratching and DVS for the rest. ITOH the guy who made similar for djplayer seems is glad to open the source. Look at comments. https://turntablecontrol.wordpress.com/ Back in topic I find this "x86 inside mixer" a crappy concept if you aren't doing the homework right like improving the speed of decoding with things like this (schmidt trigger Rasteri?) and proper software side (dedicated djing program not a desktop one stretched to fit inside little monotouch screen in the age of iPads...)
  16. The technolgy related to bring scratch battling to internet as true gaming it's not ready yet. We need a realtime ttm software to horse battling and online learning but maybe it will never come. I tried to help the most I could in skrat.ch and scratchML projects to build it but it wasn't on the brands scope and big heads (like Q and Carluccio didn't help even being aware) so I supose sometime it will come. More or less Roland Serato are bringing the turntable groovebox to the arena which I have lost hope for it too. Let's continue working and let's see.
  17. Mini inno needs vca compatible mixer or it could substitute analog fader?
  18. The fader in the handytrax is soldered directly to pcb board so the most straightforward solution is external one. Said that it could be possible desolder (or scavenge) it and attach your own similar (proX the most similar maybe?). Rasteri could put some light on this for sure.
  19. Better image... https://www.gearslutz.com/board/attachments/electronic-music-instruments-electronic-music-production/581135d1472222331-909day-new-roland-products-announced-seratoxrolandmaybe.jpg
