  1. I got myself one of flesh_one's 3D printed tonearms and some platter bars both items are so good I highly recommend them especially the platter bars Thought I'd also share this idea I had to secure my nanofader board and pre amp it worked out great I found these little nylon spacer screw things on ebay and drilled a couple of holes into the Pt-01's body both boards are now very well secured in there check it out http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/281723416650?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  2. I'm definitely keen to grab another when you get more made up I'll take 2 actually
  3. So this is where I'm at with my mods I have my nanofader installed running with a vestax pcv fader I have a shure m44-7 cartridge running through a pyle pro pp444 pre amp the sound quality is so much better and its all running on one of these batteries http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/391331829849?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  4. just remove the entire board wires and all the thing is useless
  5. second that I had some fake 44-7's absolute shit my mum used to have a little shop and I found em in a catalogue from a supplier I was stoked to find I could get my needles for cheap then realised when I got them they weren't actually shure's but some kinda generic fakes they were terrible, really really bad definitely stick with the real deal on needles
  6. theres loads of em here in Australia on ebay maybe purchase one from a different country
  7. yeh I removed all 3 power, audio and ground thinking I may aswell actually just unscrew the board and take it out of there completely it will give me more room for the fader then I can stick the pcb from the bottom of the crossfader back on and have it hooked up with a plug for easy removal if needed rather than soldering directly to the pins on the crossfader I tried to do this at first but with the usb board the fader wouldnt fit so I removed the pcb from the fader to fit it in now that I see how much issues that usb board causes I totally agree its not at all worth keeping I advise anyone else who's attempting to install the nanofader board and a real crossfader just completely remove the usb board you'll give yourself more room and get rid of the hums
  8. thankyou rasteri got mine all installed was gonna get a mini inno for it but since I had an old vestax pcv fader laying around I decided to just use that took a bit of messing around a few days of pain there thinking I screwed it trying to solder to the circuit board but I made it in the end I had a bit of a hum coming through and after reading the pt-01 buzzing noise thread I have removed all the wires to the usb board and completely disconnected it it made a huge difference the hum is almost completely gone its still just there very lightly its definitely coming from the motor as it starts as soon as you start the platter hopefully I can eliminate it completely but its really not a problem so here it is my installed and working nanofader v1 and vestax pcv fader
  9. so are you saying completely remove the usb board or just the wires?
  10. yo can you post up the install guide here for us rasteri
  11. is there some sort of clip that I can solder to wires to clip onto the pins of a fader like the one in the link below to save me soldering directly to the faders pins so I can easily change out the fader if needed if so can someone tell me what they're called http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Slide-Potentiometer-ALPS-20K-Linear-60mm-travel-metal-/181583776207?hash=item2a473c89cf:g:dzEAAOxyeZNTQbb7
  12. I spoke to flesh_one about the phono preamp he said he got one of these pyle pro pp444 preamp's removed it from its casing and modded it into the pt-01 both the pt-01 and the phono preamp are powered by a rechargeable battery http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/231870239215?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  13. ohhh shit 3D printed tone arms for Pt-01
  14. ok cool I was just hoping to keep the usb working for its potential for dvs like what we've seen with the dj player app
  15. is there a way to do it without butchering the usb board ? I would like to still have the usb function working if its possible
  16. Looks good still pretty shit scared about installing it though hahaha but that definitely helps pretty good clear instructions there should be all good
  17. I'll definitely take one to I'm happy to get my own fader still trying to decide what I really want in there haha
  18. a pitch fader like a real turntable would be so good I been thinkin I'd like to try and add 2 up faders if I can make the room for them I had this idea that it could be cool to be able to have one up fader running internally for the deck and have one that's basically a standalone fader so you can just go in and out of it with your ipad or mp3 player whatever your playing beats through can you easily wire up a volume fader with just a fader and a couple of inputs to go from your mp3 player to your external speaker or would I be needing to add something else to it
  19. so this is happening "raidenfaderWe promised everyone we would, and we will. You'll all be able to level up soon... We're working hard#prototype #raidenfader #portablefader#innofader #innofadermini @innofader"
  20. yeh it sucks, same here I only have mine cos it was free haha I cant stand apple products
  21. just to let you guys know for anyone who was considering trying out the dj player dvs setup with the PT-01 it doesn't work with the 1st gen Ipad I'm not a fan of apple and that's all I had I have tried and tried and nothing works apparently you need ios 6 or higher for it to work and the 1st gen ipad does not support ios 6 just another reason for me to hate apple some more so for anyone else who was going to attempt it keep in mind you need a device that supports ios 6 or higher
  22. so I'm looking at doing a rechargeable battery mod like shotta showed previously I been lookin on ebay at different battery banks a 6000mah mophie costs about a 100 AUD but I can get a 12000mah no name brand from asia for like 20 bucks am I really just paying for the name with mophie or are these would it be pretty sketchy to use a noname brand battery bank
