  1. Bah! We've got our own app catalogue at work and access to the Store is blocked. I could really do with this. Definitely give it a go at home though. Cheers Steve!
  2. Premier deserves 94 for me. Entirely produced Hard to Earn and his contributions to other classic albums are what made them classics.
  3. Nice one Steve! Ordered mine yesterday.
  4. Maybe they wanted to avoid a Black Friday scenario with a bunch of diggers trampling each other to death. Blood up the walls, body parts and broken PT-01's littering the floor, etc.
  5. Yeah man, there are nice bits in there! Also, Ren & Stimpy and scratching is definitely a good combo in my book.
  6. Dave will never do another Phantas. Too much of a pain in the arse.
  7. Hahaha.. I never said those tracks were any good though..they just have that Boogie vibe going down! Just drink a few white wine spritzers on a Friday night and they'll sound marvellous probably! Ah, you misunderstand sir! I meant I really like both of those tracks. I could have worded it better, I suppose. Also:
  8. I was going to say that. Someone gave me all three of those and the scratch samples are spaced way too far apart to be useful. The beats on the other side are quite cool. Things like BDK - raw, etc.
  9. Hello all, I've just uploaded a new mix to my Mixcloud page. It's a collaboration I did with DJ Moschops. Check it out:
  10. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-45509672 But still WTF.
  11. I bought an HP Microserver from a guy at work. It has four bays and runs Windows 10 on an additional SSD that I tucked in the top, above all the disks. I've created two folders for me and my wife and we connect to it with a PC laptop, an iMac and a Macbook. It connects to my router via a LAN cable but apparently WiFi also works, which I was surprised to hear. So far, so good. It's nice and quiet. Instead of hardware RAID I use a thing called StableBit DrivePool. You add all of your drives to the pool and you can choose which folders you want to mirror. This frees up more space as you don't have to commit to mirroring entire disks (the idea is that you mirror valuable folders containing photos, etc and don't bother with stuff that you can easily download again). It handles load balancing and redundancy, so if one of the disks craps out it'll fail over to one of the good ones. You can also use the SSD as a cache for quicker transfer of data. It's $30 and you can trial it for 30 weeks. I ended up buying it because it seems to do what I need. https://stablebit.com/DrivePool One downside is that it takes hours to move files and folders around on the server if you do it via a mapped network drive on one of the client machines. It seems to copy the data to the client and back to the server again. It's fine when you RDP onto the server and do it but if one of your 'users' wants to move a load of photos around, they're better off asking you to do it! I haven't looked into automating backups from my PC and Mac. That's the next thing on my list. Would I recommend it? Yes, but only because it seems to work and I haven't tested any alternatives.
  12. Klever was really suffering from 'Turntable Back' that year. I've seen hundreds of examples of this but I can't remember any of them! The silence you get is caused when the crossfader is all the way to the other side and the upfader is pulled down briefly, for the stab. EDIT: shit, I've just noticed how old this thread is, haha.
  13. This is how I'm guessing it went down in the studio: Record a chorus and a verse. Dirty gets shitfaced and they realise they won't get any more material out of him that day. Reverse the verse and then repeat the verse again. Repeat chorus. It's an anthem but I've heard it waaay too many times. It's almost as bad as Full Clip in that respect.
  14. That's hip hop right there! Take something you don't like it and turn it into something that sounds dope. J-Zone made a career out of sitting through material he hated until he found that magic two bar loop. It also increases your chances of using something that no one else has.
  15. Supreme Clientele was technically in the second wave of Wu solo albums. I was going to mention that but I've split hairs once already in this thread! Seeing as I'm the only person who would rate anything on Return to the 36th a ten...
  16. Has anyone here added more games to their SNES Mini?
  17. I'd love to mate but I've mislaid my loop pedal (yeah, I know).
  18. Enter the Wu wasn't a solo LP Here's my list (and I expect to get flamed for this): Return to the 36 Cuban Linx Tical Liquid Swordz Ironman This is based on how I felt when I first heard the albums (back when I was a teenager and didn't know what 'The Skull Snaps break' was).
