  1. Mine pops like a motherfucker intermittently! When it does, its worse than my Raiden, which is pretty disappointing tbh.
  2. I thought it was becasue was thinking the same thing, would be better sold as 12" record I thought the name was to do with the actual record itself looking liking a massive rolled up johnny!?
  3. Not tried it yet but I have ordered one!
  4. The Fu schnickens!! That's what I'm talking about
  5. BoB has got to be taking the piss!!
  6. Just downloaded the 70's and 80's packs from this dude. Nice selection of samples and breaks for all your turntablism needs https://rmdbeatmaker.bandcamp.com/
  7. OK thanks, sounds simple enough! I have actually managed to loose one of the feet as well, know where I could buy a spare?
  8. Awesome idea for a thread, I love me some science!
  9. New 7" scratch record from Ugly Mac Beer just released today! Just For Your Trapped Hand http://www.beatsqueeze.com/album/viewAlbum/75
  10. A while back I broke some of the feet on my Vestax PDX 2300's because some bright spark thought it would be good make the screw threads out of plastic (definitely nothing to do with me being shit at life or anything like that!) Anyone have any spares or know where I could get hold of some? Cheers
  11. Ffs I am a retard! lol Serves me right for trying to do it on my phone, sorry mate!
  12. I struggling with this technique, Im doing what you said but the timing is a biatch! I can only get the two clicks to cut the forward part of the baby and then nothing on the back! (OG flare style?). Anyone got a file showing just double time chirp flares using this technique? Cheers!
  13. Oh right, cool! Where abouts did you live? I'm part of the Chandlers Ford Massive lol
  14. Nerd power!! I'm based just outside Southampton
  15. I didn't even think about the height of my decks tbh, but I will definitely get them raised up a bit. I like the sound of the two click pinch style over a fast baby, the theory makes sense, will be trying that out tonight! Appreciate the feed back guys, no one I know is into scratching/turntablism so the interwebs is my only guide atm.
  16. Hahaha! Not sure if serious or just humouring me! lol I would need the dims of the shelf and the type of material its made from and also the total weight of the TV and the length x width of its base. If I can help, let me know
  17. Right, this is my attempt it, it was done late last night and its not very good but I said I would post something so here it is! The only bit I'm vaguely happy with are the chirp flares after the first drop as I've not really done those before over dnb, the rest is very sloppy! I'll post an update once I get better!!
  18. I could work out the midspan deflection of the shelf without the middle leg if you want? I am a glorified shelf expert (aka structural engineer)
  19. Sup Eric! OK cool, I'll try and sort something out tonight after work! This is going to be painful (for you guys lol)
  20. Looks like chirp flares and orbits Those types of cuts at that tempo are going to give you that fast, rolling, percussive sound that will fit well over drum 'n' bass Thanks man, time to get my practice on!
  21. Haha I wish, I'd be more than happy if my scratching was anywhere near this!
  22. Need some advice/tips please people! I have been trying to improve my scratching over drum and bass for a while now but I'm sort of hitting a brick wall atm, I seem to always revert back to fast chirps and transforms as these are what I'm most comfortable with. No matter what I do I cant get achieve the flow/sound I'm looking for! The DJ in the vid below basically shows what I'm trying to achieve. What scratch is he doing at the 15 second and the 1:05 min mark, looks like a fast 1 click flare orbit? Also the scratch at 1:22? I know there are a lot of videos out there that give advice on scratching over different tempos but I've yet to find one that gives any guidance on what scratches/combos work best over drum and bass. Any pointers that you guys have would be appreciated, what scratches/combos do you find work best? Cheers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-S0z3uUN9Y
  23. Yep the beat is on the record, but I do not know what it's called as I've covered the labels with the one mark technology stickers that come with it (so it is skippless). Not sure that it said anyways. Also no mention of the track name on the back cover either, just has a quality french cartoon guide on the back telling you how to use the stickers. As for 7" slipmats, Im using a Mukatsuku (red rays) one I bought of eBay, looks awesome, works a treat and u don't need to worry about eye watering shipping fees =)
  24. Love that vid! FYI he's just done a new scratching in London video which is going to be released in September!
