  1. Saw the tour in Ghent (Belgium), and it was amazing.

Rasco (as half of Cali Agents) didn't impress too much, J-Rocc and PB Wolf were sick, Percee P killed, and Madlib was sorta strange but still cool.

Overall message: if you're going, go for Percee or you may be a little dissapointed in Madlib (i wasn't but clearly some people hated it).

  2. More indicative of Microsofts general direction for future products.

    ie:not good direction.

Anything that unseats the iPod is good. The iPod is a very poor product considering recent technological developments.

If you know anything about data storage, you know it's all about perpedicular HAMR. Toshiba are the one to watch.

Do you mean the Toshiba that is taking care of half the hardware in an iPod?

  3. Here's one that caught me a few months back...

"If Sales Control Stats. I place No Faith In The Majority." - EL-P

    Thats KRS not EL-P.

'Look ma no shoe laces' is another dope one!

El-P says it too on stepfather factory (i think?) so i guess they both say it... although krs probably did say it first...

  4. Yeah, I know most you can but you may need knowledge of Linux to do it. I know systems like TiVo are Linux based.

He was talking about a freeview dvd recorder, not a PVR as far as i understood.

Yes: you can edit from the recorder itself, it's time consuming and little accurate, but doable nonetheless.

But yeah, even without a hdd you can edit (using DVD+RW's or RAM's only). Sony, Panasonic and Pioneer are quite user friendly. The easiest has got to be Philips, but their recorders are absolute crap.

  5. do any of you users have harddrives in your mpcs?

I'm using an external scsi drive for backup, for regular use i've built in a compact flash reader.

I can recommend this to anyone, loading is as fast as from a hdd (32 mb programs in under a minute, i hear some pc users chuckle at this one), practically failsafe, and cheap storage.

As for internal harddrives: good luck

I've installed this reader, from a german webshop. Really a very simple installation.

  6. There's a setting somewhere in iTunes that lets you select if you want to copy the files in the library to your hd or just keep the actual files on their respective volume. Does that help in any way?
