  1. i had a little session with a friend yesterday. after doing solos for half an hour or so i put on a shaker loop, did some drumming and my friend just played around with some sounds. i just re-realized how much fun drumming is, i really enjoy doing slightly different drum-snare patterns every once in a while, doing little breaks and all that. i think it might be the simplicity of playing around just with drum + snare that makes it so much fun... i dunno though. peace
  2. the loop is nice.... btw; mark i wrote you a pm on d's forum. did you find your soulseek username? if not maybe you can choose "login as" and create a new user account. hit me back mang. peace
  3. so you did the beats right? i think they're really nice for real; kinda fresh. do you make loops or beats to cut to too? because the beats got that itchy kinda feeling to make you want to cut over them. some dope cuts might add really well to the tracks... the mc is coo as well. i'm no big "rap-fan" or-nerd too, but this is some straight hip hop shit! dope really nice stuff shawn peace p.s: can't write pm at the moment, but i'll let you know if still got some nice skratch loops... you got the beepahhfresh-loops (from b-ju) bc i got quite a lot of them.
  4. now thats a good deal for shure. btw; i'm about to get me a new amp today and i'll pay about 200 euro...
  5. my setup is two 05 pro's; 05 pro 2 with old p&g and 05 pro 3 with tuned pcv, so i can choose. thats quite sweet.
  6. that sucks. did you check if you pushed the contacts down a little too far? maybe you can push them back a little in that case... i fucked up a brand new pcv one time.
  7. i didn't add any new songs recently, but if anyone wants to listen to and comment on the old ones i'd really appreciate it...
  8. i got a pdx 2300 mk2 last summer and it was a nightmare. i didn't have the problems you have but my platter was moving up and down about 0.5 centimetres while rotating and caused a lot of skippage. i brought it back, got it repaired but it was all the same. so i brought it back to the store again and finally met a friendly customer service guy there. we figured out that the platter caused the problem, so we tried 2 or 3 other 2300 mk2 platters fresh out the box and they were all "warped"/ fucked. at last we tried a platter from a pdx 2300 mk2 pro and this one is fine now, no skippage anymore... but wtf is up vestax? but i wouldn't want to miss the ultra pitch now! peace
  9. so what other coltrane lp's could you really recommend buying (besides blue train; i got that one too) i also really liked the gene harris track and the donald byrd track from madlib's untinted lp. but what other jazz cats do ya'll consider worth checking out?
  10. do anyone of you know it and how do you like it? i bought that record a some days ago and it's amazing to me. i'm no real jazz head, but still i love that record. i don't like stuff thats too free-jazz-like, but coltrane's soloing is just so perfectly in balance between going off and moving on. i don't know how to describe it; one could say he has just an ill flow... peace
  11. i'm a little dumbass when it comes to things like posting pictures so i had to use yousendit. i would really appreciate if someone could upload them so that they cab be seen directly... http://s4.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2YKDIDDHTULK22P9KXZQ0RUA49 peace
  12. i've been listening to fuga from the very beggining to the end yesterday and the whole thing is like a headtrip really. DOPENESS!!! peace
  13. i really like fuga; the track "a time to feel" for example is amazing to me. sick drums, sick rythm, dope samples... that "let the rythm hit 'em" remix is insane; sounds like an original track. btw i'm still tripping on "simply eternal now" from scetchbook... also the cd-booklet is so damn nice too. peace
  14. nice one; i really like it. all the stuff mixes together really well + you're really flowing really cool and mellow - i don't like hectic sounding cutting... good isht! peace
  15. anyone know that track? it's a remix of donald byrds "stepping into tomorrow from blue note. i recently bought madlib's shades of blue lp (blue note remixes) and the madlib "untinted" lp (all original tracks madlib remixed on shades of blue) and the original song as well as the remix are just insane. two of my favorite tracks by the moment! peace
  16. btw i was at a special record-flee-market ( the direct translation from german would be "record stock exchange, but i guess that doesn't make any sense in english!?!) last weekend, and that was really dope. one guy had like 500 radio-play records, there were very many movie soundtracks and everything else one could want. but there were also a lot of strange dudes running around there... when i was digging i listened to this one guy talking to a record dealer and he was like: " i know this guy who has one copy of the very last beatles recording, and there's only ten copys of that record around that apple (or some equally unlikely company) released from their safe deposit blah blah.... hahahah. i got me a copy of john coltrane's "love supreme" there as well as some really great sound effect records. so i really recommend going to record-flee-markets!!! peace
  17. wow, thats amazingly much stuff from one artist! i don't buy that much vinyl anymore either; almost only stuff i'm really interested in (like madlib stuff or mf doom stuff) and/or original records for skratch production.
  18. some really really sick cuts in there! dope! peace
  19. i mean what artist occupies the biggest space in your record shelves?i'm just curious... for me it would be madlib. btw i just bought my 1000th record last weekend. peace
  20. really dope! first off i like how the track is building up until 1 min 43 secs. the following chopped up didgeridoo (?) sample sounds nice too. and the second part is really sick; amazing ambiance in there! peace
  21. the red one looks really awesome, especially next to the black pdx. SICK!!! i got an 05 pro with a pearl-white plate ( and a black pdx of course). looks quite nice too...
  22. they got rane faceplates at www.turntablelab.com; 50 bucks each... peace
  23. i got quite a few tttv's too. i think the best footage is the famous "bloody cotex" appearance on tttv 7 (or was it on anniversary 3; i can't remember); d is so sick on that one ya'll not gonna believe it... peace
