i like the 12's for reliability and because they are solid as a rock. i like the pdx for ultra pitch. that's why i own both. i could have sold both of my 1210's for pdx's, but i kept one 1210 and i'm happy with it...

word, drumming is like the most basic form of phrasing. also, try to feel the beat instead of trying to find patterns that would match it... and don't be afraid to cut simple, but just add a few technical or fast combos/patterns.

it might sound stupid, but what about effects on a looper. i was thinking about delay or echo - effects. so when you'd hit the effect button it would play the effect for like 4 to 8 bars or until the loop starts from the beginning. just an idea that came to my mind...

yeah, ma$e is really one of the worst. actually i honestly used to laugh reallly hard when i saw him on tv for a time because this guy is so wack... i don't know, it just made me laugh seeing him. also seeing him remembered me of mad tv. anyone remember the mad tv issue where they make fun of puffy and ma$e in the very first sketch. "puffy's making so much cash..." hahaha.

which mc's get a lot of attention/ money but don't deserve it? first of all i'd have to say g-unit and puffy. they really annoy me with their lack of skills... total bullshit. i'd say that jay-z is a little overrated. he's got a nice flow and he is about 100000000000000000000000000 times doper than the ones mentioned above, but there are so many mc's that deserve equal "amounts" of respect. just listen to the big-l vs jay-z freestyle i posted and you'll know what i mean.

first off, loopers are really great. i do almost exclusively cut to beats from loopers these days... and i've been cutting like multiple hours to your first lornlooper. as said before good things would be volume control, pitch control and a mute button.

@ dekorum: as i told you yesterday the speakers i have are esi nEAR 05 active monitors, they just look very similar to the m-audio. one thing that came to my mind today is that the guy at the store i bought them at warned me about getting the m-audio speakers though... he said they don't sound better than desktop monitors. the esi are like the cheapest studio monitors around, but i'm quite happy with the sound though. they really bumb quite loud. peace

the whole d.i.t.c. crew is actually quite dope, meaning big l, lord finesse, a.g., showbiz, diamond d, fat joe (although i don't like most of his terror squad stuff). l really loved the track"day one"... still like it.

yeah. i love the track "life or death" from mikah9 and d-styles...

who are the most underrated mc's to you? to me jihad from third sight is the most underrated mc. he's style is quite unique; love his flow. the golden shower hour is from 1998 i believe, and jihad was really years ahead on it. to be honest i'm almost afraid of how ill he's going to on the new third sight lp... i'd also say that motion man is a little underrated, as well as rasco.
