I have a KP2 its ok. It has reverb, vocoder, delay, modulation, synth effects etc. Its alright. The sound quality is nice, and there are a lot of effects. EDIT I havnt used it much moreso for production rather than DJing, but it hasnt overly impressed me. The sampler is 6 seconds, and yes you can plug a mic in.
  2. The Samauri mixers have that dont they? Depends, its always up for debate, whether it does things for you or it opens up new doors... To be honest I wouldnt care, shit like that always allows and opens up new possibilities.
  3. LOL <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who? This guy? Are you kidding? I can guarantee he looks nothing like me. Not even a similar feature, plus he's quite ugly. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Check your first pic its quite an emo pose, it reminded me of Chris Martin thats all heh. LOL @ You look like a Banana LMFAO
  4. yeah the melody is cool, kinda dark, and atmospheric, I like this.
  5. I didnt like the drums, you could have tweaked and EQed them, but like you said you didnt spend much time on it, even a tiny bit of reverb would have helped them. I like the bass, thats really nice.
  6. this is teh milk. Just had a shower so hairs all wet an nasty, but i thought wot the hell, my cameras a bit fucked but anyway heres two
  7. I work with a melody first. Then build it up from there. Most people work from drums up, but I have a weird method.
  8. + a printer, they had to add more USB ports or something as there wasnt enough, only enough for the keyboard and mouse or something, I dont really know much about computers but thats what the total price was on that TV show.
  9. Yeh size doesnt bother me, I mean if I own a tower I would just put it under a desk or something. I would never buy a mac, your paying for design really. That said its a nice idea that you can take a base unit around with you, but then wouldnt you get a laptop? This thing reminds me of teeny girl computer systems, its a fashion statement really, imo anyway.
  10. £ They were using trendy keyboards an shit to go with the mac so the keyboard would cost around £30 instead of those £5.99 ugly things so it matched the appearance of the mac.
  11. Well I saw a documentary on mini macs, when you buy a mini mac you just get the box, though + a monitor keyboad and mouse speakers, software, and stuff, it came out to around 900. It was on some gadget geek show I never watch but I couldnt sleep and it was the only thing that was on.
  12. Heh bro its ok, I dont expect something in return man dont worry about it. Heres the link: h**p://s41.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3UFFOWDOZ4HHK1EA2DY5EMJTVD put the http:// in yourself. Enjoy, and if you need any help give me a shout. Peace Matt
  13. Real-Izm ill upload it for you later. + A full crack. Ctrl+4 disables the grid. Peace.
  14. Thanks guys.....how is abelton tho? Can you chop and edit like you can in multitrack mode in CEP? I don't want to lose any editing power just for the use of Direct X or VST plugins. That's fucking retarded tho that CEP wouldn't enable MIDI capability....even tho it says you can trigger commands (shortcuts) in the program via midi. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In clip view, you can record as many clips as you want audio from a turntable/guitar for example, or then record midi clips and trigger them for looping etc. You can record everything you do in clip view to session view by simply pressing the global record button or you can even copy and paste your clips like in multitrack mode in cool edit. The editing facilities are good, you can transpose clips, warp them, add various effects like in cool edit, there are volume envelopes, pitch bend envelopes, panning envelopes, effect envelopes, pretty much everything you can think of. I also have some handy tutorial videos if you need them.
  15. Ive tried it manier a time, and it doesnt work. Many people have tried it on other producer forums and have massive latency problems aswell. Id reccomend ableton live if you want to trigger samples, its simple to use ive just helped Compete with Pete get to grips with the program, so if you needed help let me know. Sorry I cant be of more help ive seen topics like this on other forums I used to visit. You could head on over to FutureProducers for advice? If not I would reccomend ableton.
  16. Ok thanks will do. Ive been searching for good new hip hop for ages and I cant find any. So ive just been listening to jazz/downtempo/rock and stuff and all my old hip hop classics.
  17. I have some of Z Trips shit, im totally undecided on him. He seems to play uber commercial shit next to some classics sometime and I dont know somethings just dont fit imo. I jus hmmm I dont know I cant decide whether I like him or not... As for the hip hop thing yes hip hop is fucking shit right now, it is LOST. Im only liking People Under the Stairs right now, the industry is being flooded with wanabe gangsta pricks.
  18. h**p://s50.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1OO6OUWRZLL2H3JYR0P1O0CX5Z There is the link for audition, just uploaded it for you, works fine you should have no problems. Put the http:// in yourself. Peace Matt
  19. Click around FL5 is simple, you will get it after a while, make sure you use the piano roll for more complex shit. Good bass synths: TBL Bassline, Minimoog Synths, Novation Bass Station, etc etc.
