  1. Yeah I can just about find most of the stuff I like on vinyl because it was made in the 90's, lol but im talking about getting new beats, a lot of the stuff I hear and think would make a good juggle just isn't pressed to plastic. At least these days though you could preview the track on your DVS to see whether you like it for juggling before shelling out for two copies (or three when you actually like the track and may want to listen to it in the future without covering it in stickers)
  2. Would we all have to find a copy of change the beat for scratching? Lol.
  3. Trouble would be finding the records and proving they weren't custom, especially if online comp. But yeah I think it would work. 2 x 1200's and a 56 or similar. I take it this is inspired by certain FB threads? I'd personally rather spend my time digging through record shops for breaks for this than learning how to program a daw
  4. fast becoming THE fader to have. Although i'm still surprised only a few manufacturers adding them as standard, but i guess there's not as many dedicated scratch mixers these days or scratchers
  5. Jeff did a very rare interview/Q&A session last night in Shoreditch organised by Rod Gilmore aka Spin-doctor for thedoctorsorders. I was lucky enough to attend and meet the man himself and got him to sign my copy of he's the dj I'm the rapper, which I'm well chuffed with. Was a good evening hearing some background stuff I didn't know before. I'm guessing it'll be released on the net at some point as it was filmed. Not sure if it'll be for doctors orders or for Jeff's vinyldestination series so I wont go into too much detail. There's already a 10min clip an audience member has uploaded but if I get the proper link I'll post it here.
  6. Couldn't make it today unfortunately, good to meet some of the guys at DMC last night though.
  7. Bad times, Is that a bad advert for Ikea or his diy skills?
  8. Just remembered Twickenham isn't south of the river it's on the north bank. It is south of the A316 though, perhaps that's what it was.
  9. Twickenham is south of the river, cabbies don't like going south of the river.
  10. That was what mine looked like when I got it and it stunk of smoke. Bit of IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol not the beer!) soon cleaned it up though and a few drops of lubricating oil on the rails it was good as new.
  11. Should've used a pic to explain it nice one. Looks like it could do with a good clean though
  12. It is possible for the fader to bleed it happens on mine although not in the way it would on a regular VCA fader or similar. Mine was also bought second hand on fleebay and I assume the previous owner had adjusted the magnet sensors at the ends of the fader to tighten cut in as they were tilted quite far back towards the end blocks. After pushing them back vertical I still had the problem. But don't worry as the line faders are identical so just remove the faceplate and swap the xfade with a line fader. It worked for me. Edit. Just read the seller has installed innofader, perhaps ask him to send original rane fader also. And yes the Rane fader does have a spring inside but has nothing to do with cut in. It provides tension to the fader by rubbing along the guide rail parallel to the fader stem rail, some people pop the spring off the rail so it's no longer touching to loosen up the fader but I found it too loose (looser than a focus fader) ok for scratching but was bouncing off the ends when beat juggling.
  13. yeah I suppose your probably only gonna use these at home rather than lugging them to every gig. Like I'm still in two mind whether or not to get a midi enabled mixer or not or just a seperate midi controller that can be used whatever dj mixer your using. like I tend to find all sorts, every house mixer is different make model. I do like the fact they went for 8 buttons (with 4 banks) over 4/5/6 though to make full use of Traktors cue points.
  14. looks ok and I'm guessing they have thought about it seeing as they put the 2nd start/stop in
  15. what do you think would be a fair price point for these, assuming they are any good as just turntables forgetting the midi part if they were < £350ea I would consider but I cant see it happening
  16. Life after Death - Biggie He's The DJ, I'm the Rapper - Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince are you talking about strictly Vinyl Doubles Because I have a few that are only single CD albums (edited to fit CD) but double vinyl
  17. recently picked up a Rane 56 for £195 and regularly see Xone 02's for under £200 on fleebay
  18. Me 183cm (6ft) Table 83cm (32 1/2") although I feel that It would be more comfortable for me higher,
