  4. Scratching is something which doesnt seem to leave me, my scratchbuddy with whom i also did a lot of music together moved to rotterdam like a decade ago, we had a good vibe always which still exists when we start cutting again Although there is other blokes around here that cut but, the feel is different. I never considered myself to be good and actually its something i never cared about, scratching itself has always been magic for some reason and i like to play around with it. Also scratching brought me a lot and to a lot of places....but there is periods i totally hate it:)
  5. also flatliferecords will disitribute it, from march 3th https://flatliferecords.bandcamp.com/
  6. thanks Steve, please write to info@twidl.com
  7. Hey guys, me and my friends do a vinyl release, not particularly 'scratch' related music..more acid/electro/techno Basically we did all ourselves, except the pressing itself, we're a bunch of friends united in collective called Twidl(Twidl records) Some of us are designers/graphic artists, musicians/dj's or programmers/nerds😉 but music is what connects us. We been doing this for years now and the 25th release is celebrated with a 250 copies vinyl release(picture disk) https://www.instagram.com/twidlrecords/?hl=en Listen to it here And here a small video about creating the record
  8. Some stuff to kick of 2023:) enjoy and some electro-ish thing
  9. Nice Dan, is it any good? No MPC experience here, the s950 i remember for its timestretch function and partially the s3000 i worked with but never owned, still an MPC is tempting somehow Recently i got myself a Digitakt & Digitone
  10. I should give this a listen on proper speakers instead of a laptop, but already hear i never get that funky:) I'm an noisy industrial dystopian person haha
  11. thanks, i hesitated a little wether to upload it or not. I recycled a few of distorted 808's i recorded before, then put those in a device in ableton and created mulitple layers. Thing is when i was focussing on the 'sounddesign' i kinda lost the musical feeling in it, to much editing which takes away the spontaneous part. In the end i deleted a lot of parts to get it working and the original idea is totally gone:)
  12. Asian dub foundation, top! Also saw Roots manuva on his last day of his tour, totally up in smoke and drunk🤣, his backup Mc from Banana clan(i think) took over the complete show with Dj MK which they did great His tourmanager actually send him back to the stage, which resulted in performing Witness to fitness without any energy....which was pretty lame haha
  13. Portishead was mesmerizing, 30 degrees celsius and a huge crowd. I remember Beth turning up to the stage and everyone went wild....that energy!!! She singing, totally volnurable but hypnotizing everyone in the end. I think one of the most memorable things i saw, they would play most songs from Dummy
  14. Kraftwerk i saw on tribal gathering in 97, just amazing and when i remember correctly with huge visuals Lee perry a few times, sometimes disappointing, sometimes really good....like funkadelic, sometimes it was fire and the other times were just regular performances Also the X i can add, X-cutioners, saw them on Lowlands in 98 or 97, along Portishead where dj andy smith was warming up on the turntables prior to the show and Q would be for Quasar, a dutch house act but that was iin 93 or so
  15. btw i saw PE without Terminator X but with Dj Lord from what i know terminator didn't do the cuts on most of the albums, it was johny juice rosado doing that
  16. Adrian sherwood Big daddy kane Chemical brothers Dog eat dog El da sensei Funkadelic Gunshot Headfirst Kraftwerk Lee scratch perry Masta ace Napalm death Orbital Public enemy Q Red snapper Squarepusher Tricky Urban dance squad Venom Wutang Xzibit Yellowman Zombie squad(dutch rap group) i & Q is missing:)
