  1. Does anyone know how room tighten up the screws on the tonearm please?? There is a lot of play in the arm and I'd like to tighten it up to stop the noise. Is it the bearing screws or something?? One either side of the arm and one on top.
  2. Lmao, hey, I like getting on my decks as much as the next guy. But it's not usually a springboard to having one off the wrist.
  3. Thanks for the replies people. I'll have a mess about when I get home from work.
  4. I mean, is instant doubles on. And looks like he's using the shift button and the loop roll section to change the playing side. Just curious that's all.
  5. Hey guys, can anyone please help me to setup my dicers as used in this video? Old Skool Rave Mini Mix - DJ Faydz: http://youtu.be/bZLmWFzGK6g I only have the ttm56 as opposed to the 61 which is used in the video. Just wondered how to set up the same as this. Any help please?
  6. Very Cool mate, Could you use dicers with it too? They are Nice sized and close together
  7. I can't decide whether or not to keep my 56 or if I should sell it towards a Vestax 05pro4 the MIDI mapping would be useful for my Serato,I could incorporate it with my dicers. I just don't know if I should keep my Stanton's or the Vestax decks when they arrive. Obviously I'll test the new decks first but they both have the same features. I know what I'm like,I get a gadget in mind and I can't sleep til I get it. Basically as it stands I will have a 56 plus the Stanton's and pdx's. I either get a second mixer or keep whichever decks are best and sell the others and the 56. Hmmmmm Anyone here tried both mixers?
  8. Cheers for the advice guys,I'll post up a pic when they arrive so you can check the tonearms and whathaveyou.
  9. I haven't tried that yet and I've had a pair of Stanton st150's for about a year. Something to try later since it's a miserable rainy day.
  10. Woop Woop, Got my Vestax pdx2300 mk 2 turntables coming. Can't wait. Hope they are as good as I've heard. Happy Friday folks.
  11. The xone does look very Nice, it can be bought for around half the price of a used 909 too. I also like the look of the hak 380 too.
  12. Don't fancy the DJ tech mixer to be honest mate, No headphone mix function like on my rane. Plus, I've wanted the 909 for about three years lol
  13. Excellent, glad I'm not the only old skool DJ around here. Excellent, glad I'm not the only old skool DJ around here.
  14. Yeah I play mostly stuff from '93-'96. Loads of Scott Brown, stuff that Sy produced too.
  15. Ahhhh bugger, that's pretty much the worst thing I could have heard. If anything is important it's the fader. Maybe pioneer after all.
  16. Hey guys, Here is a quick picture of my setup in the spare room. Ill upload another when i get the stuff downstairs sorted.
  17. Hey guys, Just been looking through the pics of everyone's equipment and records. It got me wondering if any of you listen to hardcore besides Hip-hop. I've been a hardcore dj since my last year at school, always loved the guys that scratch like DJ Sy and Hype. I met DJ Noize ('96 DMC Champ) at PLASA in London, bought a video of his DMC final and was even more transfixed by the whole scratch game. But my record collection has always been hardcore, I am lucky enough to have had one of the North's biggest hardcore events in my hometown for a couple of years until it finished. Spent the best years going to DIZSTRUXSHON and Uprising. Also been lucky enough to play at them both too. Anybody out there into it too?
  18. Right, sod it. Go big or go home is the thing to do. I reckon im gonna bite the bullet and go for the Rodec, i've taken everyones points into consideration and since id be saving up to buy whichever mixer i choose anyway, i figure i may as well go for the big one. Hopefully id have two top notch mixers once ive cleaned and lubed my 56. I dont think i would use the effects on the 909 that much anyway, i need something totally rock-solid for cutting with and i think the Rodec is the way to go. Thanks again to everyone that took the time to put there replies on this subject. Much appretiated guys.
  19. I have an sl2. Never used traktor before.
  20. Thanks for your reply mate, I've lusted after a 909 for about two years now. I'll be picking up whichever mixer second hand and hopefully not getting ripped off. I've heard good things about the rodec . As you say they are all very good choices, looks like I'll be doing a few extra hours at work lol My friend has or had an 06 for sale so I'll hopefully get that to keep me going while I save up. My rane needs the crossfader cleaning and lubing, also might pick up new caps for it. Thanks again for your input mate.
  21. Hey guys, For my first post I thought I'd see where you guys stand on mixers. I got the Rane ttm56 at the moment but I'm getting a second set of decks to go in another room. The second set is a pair of Vestax Pdx2300 mk 2's. But, I am totally stuck as to which mixer to put between them. I know there are probably a hundred threads on this topic but I'd appreciate any advice I can get. My shortlist is - Allen & Heath xone 02 vestax pmc08 pro Pioneer djm 909 vestax pmc08 07 rodec scratchbox I know that's quite a few to choose from but I'd like to know of any particular problem that any of those have. Or any other choice I might have missed. Sorry for rambling on,and I realize it's as geeky post but I am a geek. Lol
  22. Hi everyone, I'm Stig. 33 from the Uk. I posted a couple of videos on YouTube and one of the comments was from ericuk who told me to join here. I'm totally frustrated at my skill level but I know with a lot of patience and practice I will get where I wanna be. I'm currently using a pair of Stanton st150's with a 56. Got a pair of Pdx2300 mk2's on the way for my dining room cos the Stanton's are upstairs n I can't get on them when my son goes to bed. Currently planning which mixer to put between my vestax, either: pmc08 pro Djm 909 rodec scratchbox Or Allen&Heath xone 02 any advice you guys have would be gratefully received. Cheers guys.
