  1. Ahh thanks, I'll have a look on there and see if anything useful is available. Hopefully it won't be all that bad and I can restore it, and hopefully improve it.
  2. Hey guys, I was given a mixer yesterday that needs a bit of work. The faders work ok, just need a clean & lube. Problems with the mixer are - Channel 1 phono input dead. Had to go in Line. Stanton's are ok as a line input. Monitor only works for channel 2. Can't turn off channel 2 with the monitor fader. Can't hear channel 1 at all through the monitor. Channel 1 output to speakers is only mono. Does anyone know where I can source replacement parts just incase the guy I know who is gonna sort it can't repair and needs to replace.? I also fancy doing the mod for master output monitoring while he has it opened up. That is in advance guys.
  3. http://www.discogs.com/DJ-Hertz-Ugly-Mac-Beer-Just-For-The-Scratch-Game/release/6373756 I have this, Plus the first two ETSG 12". I need to pick up the 3rd.
  4. Ey up mate, all good Thank-you. Just the usual, work and chilling. I think Im gonna have to head over to yours next time, you have been this way so it's fair Innit lol. I've been slacking for ages so Im trying to get back into things and progress. Cheers again for the "chewing gum" lol
  5. Excellent, good to hear from someone who actually owns a 505. Im definitely after buying one myself. Just need to drum up the money and keep it away from the wife.
  6. Yeah, at a place called Code. I've not been there before.
  7. Yes uprising is still going. It's different now though. All newer stuff. :/ I've not been in a long time but Im sure it will be good. Cheers Steve, I'll check that mix out mate. I've not got Any house, and only a couple of hip hop tunes. I did have serato but I sold it.
  8. Cheers mate. I've just made time for myself on my decks for the first time in a few days.
  9. I used to go on another forum a lot called freestyleforum.net, but that's for nunchaku, not turntables lol.
  10. Yeah man, I've no idea Why I didn't do it as I signed up. Apologies about that. Decided to actually focus and set some goals from now on. I've scrapped Facebook, too many people arguing over boring pointless things. I think Im gonna come here and get involved in discussions that Im actually interested in. Hoping that I can post some videos showing progression soon.
  11. Hello everyone. Im Stig, I live in Scunthorpe which is in N.Lincs. Famous for the steel works and the lovely channel 4 program "skint". Lol I've been into music and decks for as long as I can remember. Started to be fascinated with the DMC in '96 when I went to London for a trade show called PLASA. I met DJ Noize at the DMC stand and bought the world championship VHS that day. From then I was hooked. Started playing hardcore and doing gigs. Got to play at the main events around here at the time which were uprising and dizstruxshon. Now I just chill at home, occasionally blaze a bit. Spend time with my little family. Life is good.
  12. I had narrowed it down to a 505 too. I read that you can get a foot pedal to use with it so I think it's all good. I need a decent laptop so I can incorporate ableton too, it's all money Innit.
  13. I never got down to Dreamscape or Helter Skelter, Im up north and we had dizstruxshon and uprising round here so I was plenty spannered already lol.
  14. Im out next week at uprising but it's the last event Im going to. Only off to celebrate my mates birthday. Brisk is in the Uk for a couple of gigs since will be good to see him. I've not been to an event I wasn't playing at for a long time. Im normally out the door after my set, have a smoke, thank the promoter and hit the road. Time to chill with the family, scratch and get fat.
  15. If you are on Facebook, search WYTM. It's the west yorkshire terror militia. Really really sounds guys who run it. Oh, if you're into gabber I've got a load of vinyl I would sell. In fact Im selling most of my collection, but only a couple of hundred are gabber. The other stuff is happy hardcore of various degrees.
  16. Scunny here, not too far from Hull. I know Justin Time is in Hull too.
  17. Good to meet you mate, I have recently been playing at a bunch of underground events in Leeds / Wakefield. Really heavy Techno and Dutch stuff. It was great to find an event where I could blast that stuff out. Plus with it not being licenced meant you could smoke or do Whatever else u liked indoors. I've always been into scratching but it took second place to getting gigs in hardcore. I might not be growing up,just growing older lol.
  18. Hey people, Just curious if there are Any ravers Old or new in here?? I have been involved with decks and deejaying since I was around six years Old. My dad has always been a record collector and DJ since long before I was born ( Im 36 ), I used to have to go with him to gigs because my mum worked evenings. When I got to around 12 or 13 I was seriously into it and with dance music taking off in the early nineties I was able to have a couple of hours on the decks at gigs with him. Then u decided to get my own decks and start collecting vinyl myself. Hardcore was massive at the time and we had a shop in town that sold vinyl and all the other merchandise. Twenty something years later and Im still doing it as a hobby but not actively seeking gigs anymore. The hardcore scene has changed dramatically from what got me into it. I still collect vinyl because u don't stop once you start lol. But, Im choosing to try and concentrate on scratching, rather than it being something I used to dabble in. Anyone else ever been into hardcore or raving??
  19. Thanks for all the input everyone. Definitely gonna get into this.
  20. Sweet. I think I'd Maybe get a small mixer as well, like I say it would be handy just to have anyway.
  21. That's a bit rubbish if I can't go straight into flex effects just because I've got a 56 rather than a 57. I've no problem with having to buy a small mixing desk, that would be Cool for getting a few people together and having a jam. Im sure it would get sorted either way. Cheers guys.
  22. Excellent, Thanks for the tip about the loop feedback. I've now got a bit more stuff to Google and figure out. Much appreciated.
  23. Thanks very much, I'll get on Google when it's my break at work. Thanks again.
  24. Hi guys, Im not sure if this is in the correct section of the site so I apologize if not. Im interested in Any information that you can send me about the foot pedal sampling that I've seen Radar perform. Layering beats and scratches to create music on the fly. Firstly I don't know which box to buy, and secondly are they compatible with Any mixer?? I might be making myself sound like a dumb arse. :/ I've seen clips of people using a guitar pedal for a wah effect but for some reason they said it was only possible with the vestax mixer they were using. I think it was the 07 isp model. Thanks in advance.
  25. Thanks for the reply mate, it may be really easy to sort. Don't want to knacker my decks up though lol.
