  1. If you put his branded Tshirt on, it will work mate.
  2. a PDX 8000. I feel like my vestax search is finally over. I love this table, it's great. I recommend that you all look for one. It has tsken me a whie but I prefere this model over all of the newer versions. Plus the red looks sick! It is basically a PDXa3s, but souped up. It may only have 12% pitch but everything else seems to be perfect. I reccommend!
  3. I don't even know who Frank Sinatra is, well I have heard of him of course and if you sang a few of his songs to me I'd probably recognise them, but I can't think of one track name... All I can tell you now is he is oap esque and I wont like it. Hahaha. I was going to keep my spitefull oppinions to myself, but then Rockwell mentioned he was from Ratpack. So, for everytime I have looked for Ratpack (Everson Allen & Lipmaster Mark) and your drossy garbage comes up instead, heres a massice fuck you, fuck you up your shitter, dry. Cunts! This also applies to the band Bad Company. You may have come up with the name first, but you're still shit. The real Bad Company (the d'n'b group) shouldn't be contaminated with this shit coming up in searches either!
  4. Just send it signed for and you're covered on all bases. I guess it all depends on the service used and the specific carriers. At the VF (and we send feck loads of parcels) we use air-mail as a basic international service (a subsidiary of R.Mail's surface mail - no tracking, signature or insurance), we had to remove the service from many countries after we got loads of reports of damage and or loss. Belgium, Netherlands, South America, Russia were the biggest culprets. This said, I reckon a signed for to these will be fine.
  5. Salute! I'd pay to see the judges face as he opens and reads that.
  6. Some dubstep is good, not all or the skrillex type of dogshite, but some of it is fire.
  7. Rasteri, this was the numark one I had my eyes on, but its discontinued anyways. Thanks for the 12v info, I dont have the manual... https://www.decks.co.uk/products/dj-spares/numark/nmk-lamp#.WRIKahEo8nU Kutabare, that is very similar to what I wanted to put together. What spec LED did you go for? When I was looking for the LEDs I was a bit undecisive when it came to the angle of light it gives off, I was thinking about 50 degrees, the aftermarket vestax one I have is real narrow (maybe 25-30) and I have to twist the light as it gets towards the runout to illuminate it all. Rockwell, although super bright, the one I have doesn't actually catch the light in the grooves as well as the SL's bulb, imho.
  8. I need to source some target lights for PDX turntables and although you can easily find the original vestax plastic ones, I want to go for metal so once its done, it should never need doing again. I do have one aftermarket metal one (not stanton or numark) but bought this ages ago and cannot find them now, unfortunatley. Firstly, are these interchangeable? So you could use a vestax on a stanton or numark and vice versa? (specifically the long numark metal ones as the stanton ones look plastic). Alternatively I was thinking of putting one together myself. I was planning on using a longish phono neutrik conection (as a base) and soldering the bright LED directly to the corresponding terminals. Then replacing the neutric sleeve and cable tie mechanism with a machined sleeve and cap (which would cover the led) and I could poke the led through the hole in my machined sleeve (via the top) and then put the cap on the top to cover the hole, done. When I was shopping for LEDs it mentions in most cases it should have a resistor as the LEDs are low powered. I remember from an old vestax unit I had (the black plastic one w' orange led) the housing had split and i remember it had an LED in there and looked pretty basic, but I cannot for the life of me remember if there was a resistor aswell or if it was just the led and the male phono connection? Does anyone know? The red metal one I have I cant see how it goes together and I fear trying to open it up, I may break it finding out my answers (there is no join). So this has sort of put a spanner in the works. Any ideas?
  9. I like my ahh without the thud/bump thing at the end.
  10. and i'll tell my missus it cost at least £100 less than i'll actually end up paying for it which always seems to end up getting me off the hook . This is a re-occuring theme for me, spent £50 on a record, na babe I got it in the £1 bargain box, I was really lucky. Then I proceed to eat beans on toast for the next fucking week - before she gets home.
  11. Agreed, did you have the box set or the individual eps, I think the labels might be different, but I loved the red and royal blue ones I think that was vol 1 and the best of which had the double baby blue labels vol 5? There is a blue moon sample on there, Id say a good 40% of my old dnb mixtapes started with that lol. To this day I still rate that box set very highly.
  12. The main push for me was after I scored the rectangle box set, I really loved it a lot, however, I remember thinking that the max play time of beats are wasted on me as I liked other styles of beats completely and that if I could delete the beats and put all the tracks/parts I liked from that boxset together (sentences, tones sfx etc), I'd probably have a whole record which I thought was out of this world. Up until then, my fave scratch disc was hee-haw breaks (mainly for the sfx and packed full layout), but I much preferred the actual content that the rectangle records had. I then took these ideas as a templates and gradually tried to go from there, making my 'dream record'. My drive was I just wanted to make my dream record really - where I liked every sound. I also had a similar pre-conception of the music industry, similar to what Symatic said which procrastinated some time over.
  13. The funky drummer, shit, this is a catastrophic loss !
  14. I've been lucky enough to have a lil sneek peek and yep, Rockwell nailed it, everyone is gonna want it! I won't give anything away, but, the Skipproofs are on point, I love them! And the beats, 'dey is super funky! - Funkier than Rob Swift, in a tutu, beatjuggling on a trapeze, with a bunch of tigers jumping over elephants and fire - Basically, get 2x!!!!
  15. Some very good points, if none of these work for you. Perhaps you should try some good olde fashioned Cocaine? It might make you a little sloppy to everyone else, but damn, to you, it will feel like your a *burning Phoenex, tearing the world apart while zappin' lighting bolts from your eyes. (*There is a possibility this might not happen and you just break a styli).
  16. Audio hijack, probably one of my fave apps, like ever!
  17. "and lets not forget that some of the early Trax records, were repressed on vinyl repurposed from the charity shops, and they still rocked the clubs inside out !!" All records have some regrind in them, we use about 2% which isn't much at all, but some places use much more. I bet even some of those 100% virgin PVC discs/editions even have it in... From a technical point of view, a reground PVC containing record will be better than a 100% virgin PVC record.
  18. Does anyone know if yourlooper.com has been closed permanantly, tewmporarily or what?
  19. You got it yeah? That was quick. Wicked, enjoy man! Not really thought about digital, maybe, down the line...
  20. https://postimg.org/image/6cz1q2ys7/][/url Om [/url There are a load more colours, but you get the idea...
  21. After a rediculous wait, the follow up to my Man O' War Battle record is ready for you. It's 2x discs, player 1 and player 2 - for jamming together. The A sides are skip proof tracks, a vocal and a sfx (mainly), they are layed out the in the same format on each disc, E.G track one 'question' & 'ahh', and on the other disc 'question' & 'fresh' and so on, so you can get the hang of the content's layout on both discs easier. The AA sides are themed into non-skipless tracks, E.G questions, answers, disses, etc. and there are 3 skipless tracks with the essential scratch sfx splitting them up. There is loads of content on these sides and its kinda needle drop style on the theme you want, E.G Disses! All sides are hand etched A, B, C & D. It has your limited number and tablist name stamped on there. Colour copies (for pre-orders) are available and shipping now. Come the full release date (22nd Jan) the discs will be on black only. Content wise, it is much the same as the Man O War 12", only a 2x disc, refined / evolved version, specifically for 2 players to jam / Q&A with. If you are interested in purchasing a set, drop me a PM. If anyone can help me upload some pics, I'll give you all some sneek peeks.
