Had a Studiologic 760 years ago and it was great, very reliable and pianists didn't mind it. When I changed jobs I went for a Studiologic 880 based on my previous experience and it was shit and keys kept breaking. Picked up a Roland fp4 as b-stock reduced but that's more of a digital piano (although does have USB MIDI out). Overall I doubt this post is that helpful to be honest. There's also this..... Well with the mac mouse you can scroll around the screen left/right/diagonally which is pretty much essential in Pro Tools, otherwise navigating the session is a complete pain in the arse. I used the trackball in PT 8 and it was fine but the change to 10 fucked with the functionality, although I think this was probably due to the new OS more than anything @ Sy, even writing with a pen is pretty painful so I'm not sure the pen is the right option for me. That advice is sound though, looks like I'll be rejigging things a bit to improve my posture..

I did use to have a Logitec Marble trackball and was really comfortable with it but when I updated the computer and software it became impractical because of the scrolling options I need.... Shame because it was way more comfortable to use. Thanks for the link though...

Does anyone here have experience with such things? It's very much looking like I have carpel tunnel syndrome, which is fuxing with my drumming big time There's a few I've seen online but reviews are mixed and I don't think there is anywhere in the area where I can try such things out. Maybe some damaged skratch headz can come to the rescue? Cheers...

But can you record MIDI straight into a host DAW?

I find Photoshop a bit basic to be honest, I achieve these results with Preview in Mac OS.

I used to use a Pro Tools HD system, which is similar, at the time it was the best option but with the power available in newer machines it seems less important. I'm now running a Native system that I've yet to max out... Although it's not as stable, which is a fucker when recording system. I never had a glitch recording on HD but with Native there's no guarantee that when you press record it's going to finish the job (although glitches are fairly rare). Probably a good bet if you have an older machine and can get something cheap...

To be honest I suspected Q Bert must be some sort of nonce for a long time. There's no way anyone could do those upfader chirps on Blue Flowers unless they were involved with Jimmy Saville, Dave Lee Travis, Paul Gambochini and the rest of those child touching disk jockeys. #realtalk.
