Starts around 3.40. Don't ask me how I got that far into the vid.

Some of my most prized possessions as a kid were DJ Hype sets recorded off of Phantasy. Also Melvin B (never heard of him since) on Friends used to be sick too.

Alternatives to the APC40....

@ Dubba, thanks for the offer of a soundcard, luckily a friend over here is already loaning me one until I can save up for a new one. Looking to getting a MOTU Ultralite as I need the additional outputs. Gutted though, the NI one served me very well and was extremely happy with it. -

Black..... Somehow I doubt a white one would look so cool after a few gigs. -

I hope so, spend quite some time looking at various bits and it seems the best bet. Has the amount of pots I need and the faders are meant to be of a decent quality, can't be any worse than the shitty Akai faders! If I could drum on there then that really would be something but I very much doubt the pads are velocity sensitive, it certainly doesn't say they are anywhere. If it did then WWWWWOOOOOOOWWWWWW then I could just use a single controller and do everything, that would be extremely cool indeed. -

Honest answer? I had smoked way too much. I'm guessing that I put my flightcase down when I said goodbye to people, then wandered off without it. It's the only thing I can think of, I really don't think anyone in that studio would have robbed it but I guess you never know. Either way, it's down to my own stupidity. I just bought the Livid CTRL R.... Usually buying new kit gets me exited but right now I just feel cold.... And am about to spend a month eating nothing but beans on toast. Still, got it for £425 which seems reasonable. I always hated the APC anyway. Will post some feedback when it arrives. -

Think I'm going to go with the Livid CTRL R. Gonna be a while before I can replace the space echo and soundcard though. -

Looks like I'm being forced my hand here. Just lost my live rig of APC40, Boss Space Echo and Komplete Audio 6 soundcard. Got left outside a rehearsal room and now it's gone. -
I like DJ Gospol. You can actually see the carts bounce up and down. That shit takes real skillz.

Howdy peeps, Bit of a spam mission but we've been shortlisted for a set at the Beach Break festival in Newquay but we need to get a few votes first. If elected I will be sure to give free money to everyone. If you can click here and click the little star icon it would be very much appreciated! http://www.emergingicons.com/15749/abigailhubbard (Disclaimer, you may not get the free money in cash)

good examples of DJ + MC working together creatively?
assemblyworker replied to Vekked's topic in MUSIC/DJ RELATED
The biggie Smalls set when he calls the DJ out for being an amateur cunt. OK so it's a different take on it but it's still a DJ MC interaction. -
Going to be the worst one ever. (Gutted I can't come).

Maybe I could just wire you up with MIDI triggers and play the Cambian live? (pause) -

Yeah had a look at Push but it's basically Maschine, with all the bits I don't like about the APC (loads of clip launch buttons) and no faders and not many pots. I'm quite interested in it but know it's not what I'm looking for. -
Real talk.... Spent a lot of time doing transform type stuff on the left deck, chirp based stuff on the right. Could have had more faith in my abilities and worked harder. Although for a few years I was cutting on my own and just had access to tapes. Wasn't till I hooked up with other guys later that I fixed up. Maybe not got so despondent with being shit on the cut. Oh and I would have done loads better when I entered DMC in 2000.... I would have much preferred to win rather than embarrass myself in the qualifier.

Had a peek at those a while back, look very cool but still not what I'm looking for, cheers for the link though. -
ANyone know of any? Currently have said device but it doesn't fully cater to my needs. I really don't need all the scene launch buttons but could really use better faders, without lag (!!!) and more pots. I've searched a few times and never find the right thing, except for a dude in the state who does custom builds... Could be an option but I'd need a few more paid gigs before I splash out £1500 on one. Any help greatly appreciated.

I can't help but think there must have been a little disappointment after collecting all those egg boxes only to find they did virtually nothing to the sound in the room...

Will be with the Abigail Hubbard Band at The Rattlesnake, Islington on tuesday the 19th March if you fancy some trippy folky dubby type liveness.... https://www.facebook.com/events/347139498720916/?fref=ts And Friday the 22nd with the mighty Congo Natty (full band set), I'll be on Maschine and Ableton duties. Should be rather good! http://motionbristol.com/index.php/events/single-event/194-boomtown-equinox-party

Two people stand opposite each other shouting 'you're gay' in various ways. Not a big fan to be honest.
