  1. I really enjoyed cyberpunk on stadia. Was worth buying the hardware (missed the promo for 24 h)
  2. I am playing The Surge 2 on PS4 now. It's like dark souls in a dystopian future. Hard but addictive!
  3. In Tokyo I found a Vestax Spin 2 for 1000 yen marked as junk. Works fine at the end! Bargain!
  4. Limited due to life/work or you have no longer the urge to do these types of things? Asking because sometimes after work I would rather watch YouTube than cut it up for example. Totally due to life and work. I used to take my new purchases and put them on mixtapes so I could roll around and listen in the ride. I didn't put a ton of planning into them but would loosely plan them out in 15 minutes or so then record the mix. But this is when I had hours in the evening or on the weekend so I could cut it up for an hour or two, make a mixtape for an hour, etc. These days I get an hour a day, tops ... but more likely it's 30-40 minutes ... if at all. So, that time gets spent on the cut or working on more involved projects. I still tend to work on mixtapes along with production but it's more multi-tracked type of stuff. I really would like to do some more stuff where it's less planned out and more just putting together songs to listen to. I do recall your mixes being a lot more elaborate than what I am doing. I think a way to think about it differently is to focus on doing it for yourself and a way to keep up with the music and staying excited about helping others discover new music. Maybe consider preparing the tracks closer to where you are usually listening from. I listen to Spotify at work and collect tracks this way and one day a month I spend 1h mixing them without prep like you would if you were DJing out and had to find out how to blend things. This way the time commitment is pretty low and the challenge is pretty high (for my limited skills).
  5. Tough beat! You are keeping it jazzy on the cuts!Like the camera angle.

  7. Feel bad to post my own stuff but for once I think it's decent. As part of my 1 mix per month challenge I have been doing since 2017, I wanted to share the December 2019 one: It contains heat from psychedelic rock, hip hop, beats and more. I am trying to discover 30 dope tracks every month, mix them live in under in a up to 1h and share. The idea behind it is to continue being an active listener, discover new music and keep practicing mixing as I no longer DJ out of my house and getting rusty. Curious to know if anyone else is trying to do something like this to maintain their skills. In case you want the actual list of songs here's the Spotify playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5ej3TmjP8BIS8jtNYn7ack?si=58xQYvkMSHmmzPhkgJKaKw
  8. I felt the urge to come back here in 2020. I miss the forum feel compare to social media. I have been mostly lurking because I don't have anything fun/interesting to post. I would be happy to support to keep this alive
  9. I am wondering why there is this argument that turntablists want the 72 without a screen from the reviews. I could imagine they could have just reduced the price of the 72 and have the same impact. Also if I was the team that built the S9 I would be really happy seeing that they made a classic model
  10. I hope to see this live soon! I love how you guys have built songs and routines so that the crowd can be entertained watching you perform them. Big ups
  11. I just bought the reloop spin! Can't wait to have less of a cable mess and something that is not only designed for lefties on the record
  12. Preordered! This game is coming the best possible moment. Quit my job and starting a new one in January. November plans: finish RDR2
  13. Love them beats! I had a first go on the looper: It's tough!
  14. Hey guys, I made my first video review for the Magneto portable fader. Was a two day experiment to see if I am able to shoot something decent and share. My plan is that if this type of video can be interesting to other scratchers to continue this series of short reviews. I woud love to hear some critical feedback http://bit.ly/MagnetoReview Thanks in advance! P.S. feels so awkward to reveal your face in a forum
  15. I am super excited to share my updated setup! Love my standing desk, show off area and monitor
  16. In no particular order D-Styles Enfoe Toadstyle The Ruck Oslo Flow Edit: And after reading this thread I went on youtube and found this priceless piece of footage where most of the scratcher mentioned here look like teen nerd scratch killers
  17. A lot of detail in how the albums were made, the synergy between D and the group. Highly Recommended! https://nerdtorious.com/2017/02/13/third-sight-an-oral-history-of-raps-most-reluctant-longshots/
  18. Ayo, I made another one from my series of 1 mix per month. This time I am revisiting some hip-hop classics and combining them with fresh beats and world music. Enjoy! 19. I try to avoid the parts of the songs with other people's scratches in my mixes to not seem like I can do better scratches than I can actually achieve. Although in gigs I will prefer to air scratch during the dope parts of songs
