  1. On the Handy Trax , has anyone replaced the volume fader with a fader that cuts? Is that even possible? I don't know shit about audio wiring. It seems with everyone making fader housings there would be a market for a mini Inno fader drop in or at least a mod to make it work. Off the top, would losing the volume control be an issue?
  2. Sick! Curious on the looper as well.
  3. Yeah, I hate that shit too. My work around is too drag a range of bpms into a playlist then sort that list by genre and drag only the specific genre I want into another playlist. It's kind of wack to go through these extra steps though.
  4. I've been scratching with it for a few days with a MacBook 2.4 running 10.6.8 and a SL3 with no issues yet.
  5. Thanks, this is a good read. It's crazy the Supreme team went overseas without their decks and had to have some shipped from NY. Also I dug the part where they stayed true to the Vinyl and called out the Fairlight Synthesizer for being wack for scratching.
  6. I think I'll just pick up the Vinyl when it comes out. I'm not really interested in any of the perks on the kick starter... You think there is some crazy millionaire or stalker that is going to donate 10,000 grand for a skype cut session with QBert, associate producer credit, and all the album swag? Even the 5,00 grand to go to his house and cut seems outrageous and a little creepy
  7. Is this a group set or each DJ doing his own thing? The last few times I've seen Qbert he just cut while the local Dj's mixed beats. I would think Q and shortkut would get down because they know how to vibe together on the tables.
  8. IQ rocking the "making me itch" was way too ill and Fasker on the "pump me up" sample was probably some of the craziest scratching I've heard... Good luck with this one judges. I can't make a choice, both are first place sets IMO.
  9. Went IQ this round because he brought the funk. Sick battle. I hope this goes 3
  10. Wow Fasker killed that beat. IQ came with really clean cuts and patterns but Fasker seemed to have a little more style and flavor on this type of beat which gave his video a flow I enjoyed. Also I think the switching up of samples worked in his favor too and it was enough to get my vote. I can't wait to hear both their cuts over this next beat.
  11. ^ This is what I had been hearing and was under the impression they were two separate projects But the way this latest tweet was worded it sounds like Wave twisters 2 is now a double album I'm stoked to hear what he comes up with since Wave Twisters is definitely a hard act to follow up on. Q's cuts on Scratch Nerds 2 are a little avant-garde for my likening and I hope he doesn't go into that style too much on the new album. Also I'm curious on what MC's he's been working with. Anyone know?
  12. Dammm... I don't know on this one. To me it's almost more funky vs more technical but both excel all around. I liked Fakser's style when he slowed it down so I'll throw a vote that way.
  13. Wow, sick cutz from both... IQ got my vote with those ill patterns and clean tears.
  14. That's dope, Thanks! I love that little mini scratch session they had when D guest spotted at end of Melo's Beat Junkie volume 3 mix.
  15. yeah sorry was talking about the snippet. https://soundcloud.com/slowroastrecs/klever-and-craze-scratch-nerds here's the links for the J-smoke mixes
  16. Scratch Nerds Volume 2 from Craze and Kelver is fucking dope IMO. Also Qbert's Dimentional Tryportation OF Zorba the Buddha is worth checking out. I think he's also droping another wave twisters style album soon too Lately I've been listening to J-Smokes R16 mixtapes from 2012 and 2013. Lots of fresh cuts and dope tracks on those mixes.
  17. dope, so many fresh cuts. Nice work Steve and good luck everyone.
