Do you notice a performance/quality difference?

Last time I ordered something with Canada Post from Montreal, shipping took less than a week. But it sat in customs for 4 weeks. I wonder how much scrutiny a record will go through.

That's a good question. I've been probing my friends for details on who's battling in what and it seems like some people don't want it known... I'm pretty sure the defending US Team Phonics/Turbulence will be there - probably rayted-r's crew, DJ Manwell for sure. Dunno if these names are ringing any bells.

Are any of you guys following the US West contenders/teams? I may attend the the comp this Saturday in Long Beach. Taking footage is a big no-no according to DMC ... but I wonder how well they enforce this rule. Basically, is anybody interested in some footage?

I chose the GoPro over the flip simply because the GoPro has better mounting solutions. The only thing I don't like is having to store the GoPro on my pocket. The flip would be much better suited for that.

That is one of the best scratch tutorials I've seen. No chit chat, straight to the technique. half/normal/double time with the animation makes the tutorial very easy to follow and understand.

I should say that I used the lpd8 pads like a 1 shot drum machine, rather than to drop cut points. It isn't meant to take abuse like that.

the level of skill among contestants might deter people from entering (not that it can be helped). these ain't DJF scratch battles, after all

Korg Nano pad 2 does look pretty. I can't say how durable it is, though. I have an Akai LPD8 which has half the pads as the Nano Pad 2. It can take a beating, but the pads get less sensitive over time. Maybe someone can speak for the quality of the dicer's pads....

I have a Tascam XS-8 which is what the Hak320 looks like. I also have my serato box inside it and an innofader installed. I don't think I would ever part or piece it out. I want to find a black 07pro that is in perfect shape.

Used a Y-adapter ( 1/4" Male Stereo to 2x3.5mm Female Stereo jacks) This let's me listen to both the loop and turntable 1, but only record the audio from turntable one.

I already see the dollar signs floating around in my head. Alas, I have zero wood working skills
