  1. That Gp3 looks retro, are there any videos of people using it? I would be really down for 12" portable scratch solution, i know about the scratchophone but that's really expensive... And bulky! I've been searching on Aliexpress/Alibaba for barebones turntables that could be used for scratching, but most of them are belt-driven and i don't i know if it would be even possible to change the motor of it, let alone making a crossfader and a portable batteries for it. But yeah, i agree with you, it smells in the air that something is bubbling up, which is good for us, scratchers!
  2. Thanks for your reply Freshcuts! Unfortunately the PT01 is out of stock (since they are discontinued i doubt they will ever have it). Regarding the Touring version, that's the one i'm pending too as well, thanks!
  3. Hi Guys, I've been browsing the web and following the trends in portable scratching and i want to jump in the pool as well. By the way i'm loving the PT01 modding thread! Awesome work! My question is the following: What valid options do we have available apart from the Numark/Ion PT01 and the Vestax handy traxx? I live in Portugal and here all these turntables are discontinued... All we have now is the Numark PT 01 Touring, which i haven't seen any reviews/videos for it (actually i've seen 1 video, but it wasn't a good one). I've also seen that there some guys using this: which is what a crosby and PT01 touring use as well, not sure though. So do you think there are any alternatives besides the popular ones? Or should i try to get them, even if i have to pay more? Thanks guys!
  4. Hey hey guys! Sorry for the delay.. Thank you all for your answers. I agree with you when you say my flow is odd. From what i've perceived in this video is that i'm always doing the same idea with different techniques. I guess i need to think more and stop doing things automatically. Frost: About the funk, what are your tips on doing that? My problem is that if i get to chill and cool, most of the time i loose track of the beat. I guess that's why i'm too stiff. Chile: Thank you for the video. I will definitely try to learn those combos. If you want to say anything more about the video, please do! I'll appreciate that. Thank you!!
  5. Hey guys, I'm dj kali, from Portugal. My biggest accomplish in the turntablism scene is a 2nd place in IDA Portugal 2011. But i'm still really green in this whole scratch thing. I really want improve mainly my flow but i'm open to any critics and tips you can give me. So...! Here's the scratch video: Thanks
