  1. Fair enough. I'm new to this form of SEO and didn't realize the implications. Good to know of course. I'm cool with learning from others. I know I don't have all the answers. This is exactly the kind of constructive criticism I would've respected and listened to had it been presented to me from the very beginning. Thanks.
  2. I've trained with Tom in his Mentoring Program and so any similarity to what I write is completely coincidental. It's only natural that his teachings would be reflected in my own writing. His primary audience is guitarists though so a lot of the quality things I've learned from him will never reach turntablists. I'm working to change that as I see a gap in the scratch world that I feel deserves attention. Everything I write ultimately comes from my own experience. I only wish that I had these kinds of resources when I was coming up and so I write with the kind of person I used to be in mind. This article in particular is mostly just based on the process I went through years ago before even knowing who Tom was. Tom is known on a much bigger level than myself and has dealt with plenty of people that don't believe in his teachings and thus many have gathered together on various platforms to try and debunk him. Total waste of life. I myself and many others have greatly benefited from working with him so when you point out the whole scam thing it's pretty laughable to me. I wouldn't expect you to know better though, considering you really have no idea who he is and have never enrolled in any of his programs. No worries.
  3. Yup, I pretty much said this in a previous post, No, this is what you said, "I've got one Kwote - stop giving it the old SEO wiz stuff because it makes you look like a twat. I'm being blunt because it winds me up and I don't really want to countenance the thought of the only forum I really come to for a bit of no bullshit conversation/bullying becoming turned into a thinly veiled search engine beard. DV hasn't got anywhere near the PR to make it worth you putting up a backlink every couple of weeks anyway." You also said, "giving these wishy washy 'inspiration' articles on the basis someone might buy some shitty ebook and some skype time that's not worth a couple of decent meals then i'm a monkey's uncle." Say what you will, but it's quite obvious that you aren't portraying my motives in a positive light. The proof is in the post. You can't have it both ways. If you post contradictions than I have every right to point that out. If there's any truth to your final posts, then at least you were decent enough to admit that you really have no purpose in slandering me other than to shut me down. Pretty silly, but if that's your goal so be it. You can go ahead and have the last word if you wish. I know you enjoy that sort of thing.
  4. If you truly believe that two posts with SEO can potentially destroy the entire vibe of a board that's been established for years than you really have a warped sense of reality. All you really had to say if SEO was your only issue towards me was, "Hey Kwote, SEO at DV is unwelcome so you should avoid it so you don't ruffle feathers." I would've been cool with that. Instead you resorted to calling my actions twat worthy and hurling insults towards everything I do. Which states clearly to me that you dislike a lot more about me than some minor SEO tactics. I'm not on a popularity quest. I'm only looking to connect with those that need and appreciate my help. That's all. If I was on a popularity quest I'd probably be sucking up to any and everyone on the board, yourself included. Obviously that's not happening. Also, let's get something else straight. You keep talking about my "shitty ebooks". I don't even have any ebooks for sale at this time. Do your research before you post or your statements have even less validity. Not to mention how contradictory you are. First you say it's only because of SEO that you're upset. Than you talk shit about my ebooks(remember they don't exist) and lessons. Then you say it's good that I post articles. Then you say my articles are wishy washy garbage. Pick a side of the fence and stay on it. Maybe you don't care if I respect your opinion, but you obviously want me to be aware of it. You have motivation to post everything you've posted thus far, but it's not going to be taken into serious consideration with so much contradiction and lack of accurate information. I disagree with you about your viewpoint on constructive criticism also. You made a pretty sweeping statement about it. If you do something I don't like, what good is telling you that you look like a twat going to do to change your actions? If anything you’re more likely to just keep on doing what you were doing or get upset and take retaliatory action? If SEO was you’re only issue with me, which clearly it isn’t, you could’ve squashed it easy as I already suggested. And don’t come at me with your “fuck off mate” example like I should take your opinions the same way I take a friend’s. You don’t know me well enough to expect that. Not to mention my real friends know how to give me criticism without all the unnecessary digs you’re dishing out.
  5. I'm not on a popularity quest so mentioning your site and Qbert's is irrelevant. I'm fully aware of what Qbert offers and it's not the same thing as myself. Apples and Oranges. Saying I look like a twat because of SEO vs. simply pointing it out without the name calling is a poor way to get your feelings across. Saying "shitty ebook and some skype time that's not worth a couple of decent meals" is a hateful sentiment. Again, CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM is welcome. Nothing you've said towards me is constructive. If you want me to respect your opinion than form a sentence that doesn't include cursing and statements that can't be backed up since you have no experience as a progressing student of mine. Also I didn't threaten to leave, I simply stated that I likely will. I prefer being in an environment where people appreciate my work as any sensible person would. If I was simply running away because I got, "called out" as you put it then I wouldn't be spending time responding to yours or other comments right now.
  6. I've got over 70 posts and only two of them are threads I started where I posted my articles for people that will find value from them. Spam would equate to me constantly posting new threads promoting my stuff or something that's not even related to scratching. I'm posting in the scratch technique section. The two threads I started are mental techniques(strategies) proven successful by many a musician which will yield value to anyone who chooses to see the value in them. A cynic or jaded person will never gain value from anything I do or service I provide and thus I don't pander to that audience. As stated earlier, I do just fine with or without this board and am only looking for a win/win here. I don't have to be here and will likely leave since my goal is not to be piled on by haters. Just know that nobody is going to shake my confidence or knock my services successfully. The people that find value from what I do, including my students are doing well and I've seen dramatic improvement from them. I love what I do and take pride in it. I also realize that I can always improve at what I do and continually work hard towards improvement. So constructive criticism is welcome. Calling me a twat or a spammer does not equal constructive. I apologize for those that actually enjoy what I do here. You know where to find me
  7. I don't get much love from search engines and that isn't my goal, but it's not going to hurt to include it. My articles are to help those that need it. If people find my articles via DV in a search engine that's a win for everyone. The people that need the help, more exposure/traffic for DV and myself. Anyway, I don't appreciate your negativity and I have an audience that finds value in what I do with or without this board so save the name calling for another person/thread. I have no negative or overly self serving intentions. You don't know me well enough to realize how much I sacrifice for the love of this art form, so don't make assumptions.
  8. Thanks for the feedback. You have a point. Although I'm guessing based on your skill level and critique that you're not currently suffering from the problem I'm addressing in the article so I could see why it would be a wash for you. All I really did was take people through the process of what I had to do myself years ago to develop the "I will" mindset.
  9. Hey everyone, I have a new article to share with you about why negative thinking is detrimental when working to improve your scratching and how to consistently defeat it. Enjoy! The Destruction Of Progress - Save Yourself
  10. Hand strength isn't very important in scratching anyway. Endurance is much more relevant(perhaps that's what you mean?). Especially when lots of 2 click and 3 click stuff comes into play.
  11. don't forget the clicks though! I didn't. An og tear flare has the clicks of an og flare in it so the clicks are implied by the name of the kut.
  12. Right. Well for you to even want to tackle that issue consistently, regardless of your level of progression, you have to have strong underlying motivation first. Then comes dealing with more specific issues as yours. You should check out my article about how to unlock endless scratch patterns. If you truly implement what you read there, I doubt you'll struggle much more at creating new patterns. Scratch Combo Generation
  13. Hello everyone, I have a new article to share with you about the perils of lacking motivation to scratch and how to combat the issue with a constant source of inspiration. Enjoy! Inspiration Lost? Recapture Your Fire
  14. The consistency was the first challenge for me. The next was integration. There's so many different ways to integrate it into your flow. I'm still working out all the possibilities.
  15. In simple terms a prism is just a an og tear flare and a reverse og tear flare in succession. Learn both separately then put them together.
