thanks for the info mate! would the correct lead be a stereo 1/4"? im planning to get an fs-6 though, but i just want to make sure that it would work for shiftin phrases both up and down for the rc-20. best thing i guesss would be to try it instore, but im plannin to get one off ebay or something.

Yes (re: the fs-6 question) just want to confirm what you mean, the fs6 will shift phrases both up and down on the 20 as well, not just the XL, right?

not meaning to hijack the thread, but is there a way to move between loops using an rc-20 (not xl)? ive got an rc-20 but i've never connected a footswitch to it. using something like an fs-5u im told would work to go to the next phrase/loop, but would an fs-6 be able to be used to siwtch back and forth between loops?

^ what he said. im looking for a replacement crossfader myself, and xanders pro-x deal (incl shipping!) works out to be about the same price as buying a vestax replacement crossfader here in australia. its goin to be a pro-x for me. although i take it you need it urgently and im guessin you'd be wantin something like somone's spare/hardly used crossfader of any sort.
