  1. Another way of cutting out complex images with no defined edges is using the Pen Tool. It's a little more time consuming than other techniques, but you get the best results by far. When the image is very complex there aren't really any shortcuts, and all the designers I've worked with use this technique. It's a little tricky in the beginning but once you get the hang of it, you can cut out images fairly quickly like this. Pen Tool Guide
  2. Just a few of my sketches and legals that I've done from 1999 - 2011
  3. Looking forward to Skyrim the most. Can't wait for that game! Probably also going to get Battlefield 3, Mass Effect 3, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution
  4. I can probably borrow an SLR from Anders, but I wouldn't know how to use it lol. Any of you guys handy with a Canon EOS 1D Mark III camera? If not I'll just bring a Canon G11. It's easy enough to use, quality is fine, and it's quite good for video as well. Good work on the 'poor mans octagon' Eric!
  5. Sounds good. Will definitely come down to the UK one.
  6. Haha..I learned that the hard way as well. My parents weren't impressed :$
  7. I never understood what the DJ's were actually doing when I went to a club. I didn't have a clue what mixing or beat matching was so I was like why the hell are they standing there pretending to scratch when I can't even hear it! They're clearly just trying to look cool with their headphones! Haha.
  8. I'd love that as well Steve! Some software specific advice would be super great!
  9. Woo! Good work Jimmy. Gonna listen now.
  10. Best of luck Jon! Hoping to make it down also.
  11. Yeah that sounds good Eric. Count me in. I'll throw a poster together asap.
  12. No I've been scratching for about 4 years on and off now I think. Like your scratchphile by the way, nice beat as well!
  13. Just a little scratching I recorded this evening. http://snd.sc/k542LK
  14. I have hardcore hate for MW2 lol. No dedicated servers, just that IWnet crap. Small maps, no destruction of buildings, no lean option like in MW1, same old dated gfx engine. Imho it's more like MW 1.5 and just trying to make money on the COD name. And single player is one long hand holding script fest. Zzzz... Might be better on consoles, but it sucks balls on PC. So regret getting it and wish I had just stuck to BF:BC2 instead /rant
  15. I love the Mass Effect series as well. Finished both games on PC. I actually liked the first game better. It's not as polished and streamlined as ME2, but it just had a better atmosphere I think, and more RPG elements which I really liked. I also loved exploring planets in the Mako and I don't understand why they got rid of that in ME2 and replaced it with the planet scanning which I thought was incredibly boring. Can't wait for ME3!
  16. Skyrim is going to be so awesome!! I just hope they get rid of that shitty leveling system from Oblivion. I don't want to die from fighting a rat when I'm level 35! Looks like they've improved the character/face animations as well. They were pretty horrid in Oblivion/Fallout 3.
  17. I think Chris has some very valid points. Holding back on the promotion for now and focusing on creating some solid content is probably a very good idea. Also if we promote the crap out of it and we have nothing to show, then people might not come back later on when we actually have some decent content as they got a bad first impression. So yeah I guess we need to get our arses in gear and actually do that mixtape . If anything just to figure out the group dynamics and who should be doing what like Chris also mentioned.
  18. Thanks Jon. Well It's more of a collective I guess But we're in the middle of building one, we just need a proper amp
  19. Imageshack has free image hosting
