i have ttx1s. i havent had an overheating issue. but one of them did have the motor issue where it would just stop by itself. but it was an easy fix with the solder iron. they still are pretty good to mix with. i do have to babysit the pitch sometimes but not too bad. but, i never owned a pair of 1200s. my first tables were gemini's.

Im using traktor. but damn near every piece of dj gear is designed for serato, so you might as well get serato. theres also rekordbox and virtual dj. in the end, they are all the same. a new kit with the software, sound card, and timecode vinyl will run you around $300 usd. And thats for any of them. I bought a native instruments z2 mixer which is why i use traktor. I have no complaints about traktor at all. I havent used any other dvs so i cant speak on them.

I got a used pair of Numark ttx's. If you still like the straight arms for better tracking while scratching, I say go used pdx or ttx. unless you can find some stanton str8150's. other than that, the reloop rp-7000 mk2's look pretty good. I think thats what the Beat Junkies use in their school.

yeah. theres a lot of great Biz stories circling around social media. He was all around great guy and touched a great deal of people. Even regular everyday people have Biz stories. People that just ran into him out digging for records or in the airport. He was a good hearted person.

when i dont feel like investing serious time and thought into a game, i usually turn to old platformers or beat em ups. i got the crash bandicoot trilogy a while ago. thats a good one to just play for playing sake.

i just bought a physical copy of cyberpunk for $20 yesterday. figure there should be enough patches to make it a decent game by now.

So I just started playing Infamous 2 on ps3. This game actually came with my ps3 when i bought it years ago. i just never played it. dont even know why. it was actually still sealed. This game is actually pretty cool if you never played it. It basically has the same mechanics as spiderman on ps4.

i finally sat down and finished jedi fallen order about a week ago. not sure what im going to tackle yet. i havent got thru kingdom hearts yet. and i havent even started the uncharted series yet. I downloaded that about a year ago when sony had them for free.

Thanks. i reached out to a few people to get some 80's r&b jams for the 80's mix i did. (did i post that in here?) somebody sent me a bunch of these dope disco and house remixes. they just didnt fit into that mix so i had to do another one. Did most of it in 1 take.

Steve, never sell your gear. only sell if you got back up gear. and even then, only sell the inferior items. same with your records. never and i mean NEVER sell your records. unless you want to pack them up and send to me in the states. but, coming from someone who took like a 10 year hiatus from the tables. your records and tables are like old friends. their not going to judge you. they'll welcome you back with open arms. start slow. play a few jams. by the 4th or 5th record, you'll be hooked again.

Disco/House

i was using Black Player but after my phone updated a few months ago, that app stopped working. well, it worked but it would read the music that was stored on my sd card. most of my music is on the sd card. so i switched to an app called Music Player. both apps are similar. They both find whatever music you have on your phone. you can play by album or by artist. Both have a search function. Both are free. Im on a samsung galaxy s10e by the way. my biggest gripe might be user error. I started tagging all of my mixes under the same album so i can find them. for one of the mixes i tagged it the same album title but i capitalized the first letter. so that created a whole new album in the app instead of putting it in with the other mixes. not the biggest deal but a bit annoying.

I havent been able to do the weekly shows anymore. life got in the way. but i stole some time tonight. I didnt do twitch but i still recorded this session. completely impromptu and unplanned. mixcloud link coming soon

damn, i wish i had this a few months ago. I did a nautilus mix on twitch the other month. I got snuck in a few flips that other people did along with other songs that sampled nautilus. This one you did would have fit in perfect. oh well, still sounds dope. nice one.

hell naw.... the most i got was 3 people. and that wasnt even at the same time. most people who follow me check in later which is why i post them on youtube because twitch is going to mute most of it on the playback. hell, youtube blocks it out of most countries except the US and UK. i cant really change the time i go on because life gets in the way. i barely get enough time to plan out a set. the house sets i did on the fly. but i always plan out hip hop sets. at least half ass plan them out. i do switch some things up and play other stuff i just thought of. pretty much all of the loops to extend a transition are done on the fly. honestly, im not sure how much longer im going to do these. im almost back to full schedule at the job and now my wife has to start caring for her mom. so we are split between 2 houses now. life is once again getting in the way of creativity.
