Why is Z-Trip not nearly as famous as he should b?
Flare Bear replied to djxander's topic in MUSIC/DJ RELATED
made some new song with chester bennington from lp z trip is one of those master of all trade dj's like shadow, kid koala, and woody...corporate media and average shmoes are too caught up with mc fucks like snoop and nelly to give a shit about dj's -
lol wow someone quoting an article from my shity ass state
-
lets spend 750 on a rane then another 100 for a shitty pcv fader sounds like a plan
-
its amazing after many months how long you can keep your wrist flickin that fader before it gets tired gotta be patient, it will pay off
-
for the quality you get what you pay for heard some guy ruined 4 707's in a year, not sure if it was the faders or the whole shabangabang but either way god damn thats weak
-
get rid of that mainstream rap shit fireplace
-
the bit called hand job where q does just faderless scratches it looks like the platter wobbles a lot but he still doesnt skip...i am not even sure mine looks that bad but i still skip like a bitch maybe im just retarded?

Anybody here switch from Vestax to TTM56
Flare Bear replied to a topic in EQUIPMENT & AUDIO PRODUCTION
if you think you are better on your vestax mixer and say the rane cuts too fast why the hell would you wanna open your ttm 56 up and fuck with it if you think it isnt fast enough youve been watching too many vin diesel movies. not to mention it prolly voids your warranty and i hear if youre not extra careful you can fuck up the magnet its kinda hard to do fast flares and chirps cuz the cut in time is so damn fast -

i was fortunate enough to start on a 56 much much better than my friends 05 -
yeah but with wi fi shit the cia would track where you are all the time prolly...and what if it glitched and gave you an electrical shock or somit, try getting that repaired
-
the vid with the guy doing the bongo drum lookin thing? :s
-
imagine someone hooking one of your blood vessels to a USB to an antivirus prog... :s
-
whats that bit on the dynasty website that says if you wanna scratch you need an insulator? :s
-
i like everything about it except 2 things perhaps: 1) kind of a bitch to get repaired 2) pitch control is a little too spread out to do any fast pitch changes like on the orig pdx, although good for quick mixing and whatnot

got my first turntables approx. 1 year ago to the month, didnt get decent records or slipmats til a month or two after...i gave up for a few months because i thought it was a waste of time...my self esteem kinda sucks that way.

lol i dont even know why my name is flare bear, i can barely do 1 clickers, im a transform bitch. but yes i have 1 pdx 2000, but my platter wobbles a tad and it skips like a bitch unless i jack up my m447 weight to like 30 grams. so i would get pissed and just stick to my techs...some days i have such bad buyers remorse i just want to literally cry and i have 1 of the "musical software" vinyl that vestax put out, havent played with it much though. i listen to linkin park a lot and i like joe's tone scratches like on the little solo part on "with you" i like his scratching better than flare or disk just cutting the shit out of an aaahh sound for some reason...i want to develop a style kind of like that, but i always get stuck in a rut and do the same thing over and over, guess you could consider that a style. i am considering pulling a d-styles and concentrating on what kind of style i want to do so that i can call it my own, decide which special effects or sounds to scratch so that people will recognize it as mine...ya know? i think im just having an identity crisis.
-
anyone try to scratch using plain tones? i want to learn to do some stuff that sid wilson/starscream does for some slipknot songs and such, anyone else try this or have any suggestions for records with tones? thanks
-
Hahahahaha. Am I the only person who found chirps the most easy natural scratch to do. Don't know what's the hardest. If I could be better at any one scratch I'd probably pick transformed tears. To people taliking about blood circulation ect. Have you ever tried scratching after having a wank? It's impossible. Your hands just go bazerk and shakey. Especially if it was an extra long struggle. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> warms mine up actually

gonna use it for a band. i will only have 1 speaker so would series/parallel matter? and by impedance you mean resistance (ohms) it can be switched between 4 and 8 i believe. god i am such a newb. the crown ce-4000 i was looking at (a hefty 1200 dollars) puts out only 600 watts for 8 ohms....while the speaker is 500 watts program holding at 8 ohms...this help?
-
if the speaker i want is rated at 500w at 8 ohms i will need an amp that can handle about 1000w at 8 ohms right? the amps i found that satisfy thes conditions are ungodly expensive help?
-
i agree i didnt understand more than 5 words that he said. i fear the day nerds can program something like this to do 1, 2, 3 click flares and put them in order, thereby ridding us of our usefulness.

interesting.

anyone else think he started this thread so that he would practice that one scratch non stop so he can claim hes the best
