I doubt it <{POST_SNAPBACK}> not being funny, but why would it not? all mpc's do is "record what your fingers are doing" - yeah, i know you can whole sequences or whatever, but i don't get why theres so much hype about them. i borrowed one for a couple of months earlier in the year and im definately going to stick with my pc setup - im not a big fan of having to navigate through menus to assign samples, and when sampling it's much easier to do so on pc. mpc's are great for standalone pieces of kit, but when it comes down to it, all it does is trigger the samples that you have put in it in the order that you tell it to - it's great in it's simplicity, but its workflow is so simple that theres no reason why pcs wouldnt be capable of the same thing and more, as you can choose the exact "components" and setup of your audio setup with a pc. i've just checked out the video, going by that i'd probably go for the trigger finger over the mpd as it seems a bit more intuitive with more controls etc, but its worth noting the guy in the video is obviously very experienced, and the way its set up etc is so well done that the talent of the guy using it could make this type of product look better than it actually is
