  1. man, not even google can find these 06a instructions..
  2. is there a huge difference between the VCA and A models?
  3. I just got my hands on a pre-owned pro06A! Works like a charm too! I'm pretty excited about this. 1 reason being nostalgia... this was the first mixer model/brand that I owned when I got started in scratching. The other reason is that I want to clean it up, give it a facelift, add new faders, new knobs.. Wondering if anybody here had any other ideas or what I should look into? Is there anything to make the fader banging quieter? I forgot how metal this mixer sounds! \m/ \m/ *edit* tried changing topic title to "Upgrading" instead of "Modding"... oh well.
  4. what to do after you've "managed" your poll? once i clicked 'finished'.. nothing happened.
  5. better than most "kids"
  6. I can honestly say that when I have mixed in a club and scratching occurred on a track, i think i wanted to get out of the track ASAP bc whoever was djing on the track was doing a better job then whatever the shit i was attempting.. haha!
  7. well right, but if it happened.. and i am sure it has happened to a lot of us. maybe you didnt hit your cue in time.. maybe you didnt know the track.. maybe you took too many shots!
  8. Do you.. 1. Mime the scratches out of panic? 2. Play it cool. Bob your head like you made them cuts ya self. 3. Try to avoid any cuts in tracks altogether. Because only you are doing the cuts 'round here! 4. Do your own cutting over the scratches. 5. Avoid the song altogether. 6. Quickly stop the track. Apologize to the crowd for the interruption. Play Tom Petty. (I couldnt get the poll to work..)
  9. what is everyone's technique for putting their belt back on? takes me about 5 tries with my potato fingers. (this isnt referring to pants)
  10. I use a button but its a non adjustable ultra pitch. Essentially I switch between to sets of resistance. I've removed the stock trimmer for the 33.3 speed and replaced it with a break out board with both the stock trimmer and a new trimmer with a different resistance. Then I use a relay to toggle between the two. If you do the battery mod, you have more then enough space to mount the potentiometer inside the battery compartment. That way it could be hidden but still adjustable. I just dm'd ya on instagram. looking to get some details from ya on this. thanks!
  11. I was having a thought of adding a new ultra pitch solution. something that wont prevent me from playing a 12" on the pt01. Would the best bet to be install a knob on the side of the table? Is that possible? Is there another solution other than a knob or fader/slider for ultrapitch on top/face of the pt01?
  12. Skills are on point, but his music selection.. Do people listen to this in their car on a normal drive? Good lord..
  13. i need more music like this. what is this? "beats" ? this is a great EP!
  14. Its the format where if Djackulate enters we all get schooled Well that's lucky he ain't coming... Wait, no that still sucks Probably King of the Hill. Winner stays. New contestants are drawn at random.
  15. After I installed them, clipped the tabs off the platter and ground down the platter bars I would still cringe when I'd lay my hand down. It was distracting and I came super close to pulling them out. But after doing everything I mentioned before with the grease etc. I'm super stoked I didn't just write them off. They are super smooth and almost silent now. Previous to ordering these bars I was looking at a company in Japan called Mikigakki that had a full ring spacer but the cost in shipping wasn't worth it. I also thought about buying a sheet of UHMW plastic and routing out the ring. I chose the lazy approach. What problem did you have with yours? Binding? not sure exactly. i clipped the bottom pegs off the platter. and every time i would put the platter back down onto the bars, i would hear all this grinding. tried grinding the bars down. but ended up destroying them. i was able to exchange with flesh_one for a new set. but the new set gives the same results for me. not sure what to do. so i just have them chilling on a shelf until i can figure out what to do with them. i also looked into the spacer ring, but shipping was way too high. or the cost of a ring was almost the cost of a pt01.. Do you have a pt01 or pt01 usb? Also what year was it manufactured. I know that for the later years it take a taller bar. So I'm wondering if they are just too tall for yours. I know Flesh One made a shorter platter bar. When you grind down the bars it definitely takes a little muscle so don't worry about breaking anything. When you hear the grinding is it just when you lay down your hand or does it do it all the time? pt01. all manufactured 2015. flesh recommended the tall bars. im thinking they were "too tall." i grinded the first set down so much the bars came out of the housing. The new set produces the same grinding noises, but I dont want to grind anything down. I believe the newest versions of the patter bars dont require grinding..
