I'm on a Vestax PDX2000 MK2. Pretty sure I have the record hole filled to where it doesnt move. I have always wondered if something was up with my platter or the base of my tonearm. I tend to blame my heavy cheeto hands. I will try to get a video up to show more detail.

Super noob issue here.. but.... No matter how many videos I watch to balance the tonearm, get the weight right.. I feel and see the needle bounce. Am i THAT heavy handed? Are all of my records warped? Is my platter too wobbly? I suck @ dis.

I don't understand DVS either. Majority of scratch videos I see are DJs using DVS. And it all sounds great. Have DJs just adapted to latency? Is the delay for them the norm? Because, its unplayable for me.

Very informative. I think this is great. I actually would enjoy a more intermediate class, but I'll take whatever.

I'm not the best with tears so this will come in handy! This makes me think of Qbert's new crop circle records. A mash up of the Grind Strips with the Crop Circles could make for some interesting accessories to come in the future.

I bought my backups. I guess I dont scratch enough to wear my needles down, but I had to get replacements. What is everyone's plan for their next go to? Can we expect the new mod for turntables to be modded needles and carts?

I have been thinking of moving my equipment (turntables, mixer, speakers) to my garage to create more space in my house. Wondering if this is the best idea due to weather changes. I will not be storing my vinyl in the garage. Just the electronics. I have seen videos of djs in different states do this, but they may not have as much humidity as my state has. Thoughts???

You mean CSGO? I played a lot of that when I was in South Korea... got to Legendary Eagle. Player Unknown Battlegrounds looks like an awesome PC game, that's all I'd be playing if I had a PC right now. Yes CSGO! I played a lot before CSGO came out. Not sure which version. But played many many hours. Not sure what rank I was or anything. Dont think I played THAT much. But now that I am playing again, I am having a lot of fun. Not too concerned with my rank, but definitely dont want to be shitty. Downloaded all types of practice maps and what not. I am mostly trying to play competitive. I keep being told I should practice more. I dont always have shitty games, but the ones I do I end up being ridiculed or kicked. Still, I prefer the pacing of CSGO competitive matches.. PUBG is another one I have played. Its not as fulfilling to me right now as CSGO is. With PUBG, I will loot all this crap. then boom dead. Its kind of a lot of buildup to nothing. One reason being is, Im not good. Checking out Warframe and some other Free To Play games.. just looking for some diamonds in the rough. Maybe some titles I have missed in the past 5-10 years..

Just invested in a new powerhouse PC for video editing, motion graphics and gaming. Man it feels great to be back in the PC Gaming world! Right now, I have fallen on old habits and am playing nothing but Counterstrike. Just trying to get good, again. Anybody PC gaming? What games should I check out? Looking for titles outside of consoles. Any PC exclusives?? Anyone here on Steam???

Probably a dated and noob question... I have some XLRs that I have used for Rane for quite some time. I don't really gig out that often, so my setup doesn't really move.. However, I have gigged recently, and noticed that my XLRs fit very loose in my mixer as well as my speakers. It would produce this really loud static sound and the volume would decrease intermittently.. I ended up messing with some borrowed XLRs that fit tighter... didnt have any issues really. My question is, are there other metrics for XLRs that fit differently? Is there a specific brand I should check out?

I think a utility to read your scratches in comparison to the ttm chart would be nice. like, a measure of how my chirps compare to a solid ttm reading of a chirp, etc.
